Worked Perfectly
My late-2013 iMac was running short on USB ports, so I purchased this to convert one USB port into two. Connected the 2.0 port to my USB 2.0 Hub, which worked perfectly, and connected the 3.0 port to my Pioneer CD burner player, which also worked perfectly. No issues, and I now have an extra one!

Very useful when more than one usb port us needed
I was not able to connect more than one USB item to my vehicle. Now that is not an issue with the 2 I ordered!

Amazing USB Protocol Splitter
The cable does what it says it does. So cool! A USB 3.0 device does not use USB 2.0 lanes. My Elgato capture card uses only USB 3.0 lanes, meaning USB 2.0 lanes are not used. Why not utilize the unused USB 2.0 lanes as well? I ran out of USB-A ports on my motherboard, so I used this splitter to connect my USB 3.0 Elgato capture card and a USB 2.0 hub. Both devices work perfectly simultaneously! It is very important to note that USB 2.0 devices (like mouse and keyboard) will not work on the blue, "SS" plug of this adapter, so don't expect a mouse and a keyboard to work together using this splitter. (You need a USB hub for a mouse and a keyboard!) On the flip side, a USB 3.0 device (such as a USB flash drive) will run at a slower USB 2.0 speed if you plug it into the white, normal USB logo side. I highly recommend this splitter only if you can differentiate between USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 devices. It's so cool.

Unique & Functional Cable!
Get two functional ports from one without adding the latency of a hub! Be aware that you cannot insert a USB 3.0 device in the 2.0 port - or vice versa. I only wish it were shorter - 3 or 6 inches long instead of 12 inches. The inaccurate photo makes the cable look deceivingly short.

not a USB hub, NO working with mouse and keyboard xmiter
would not read 2 items on the USB, so this is for power only , plugged in mouse ,and a keyboard transmitter , only one worked at a time... not returning , , a loss. please note that is you want a usb hub , this is not one.
