Wisdompro Backpack Chest Strap, Heavy Duty Adjustable Backpack Sternum Strap Chest Belt with Quick Release Buckle

Ingenious item!
I bought this item on the recommendation by my sister. I was in between sizes on my jeans & my pants kept sliding down. I didn’t want to have to unbuckle my belt every time I had to use the bathroom. At my age I use the toilet way to frequently to be having to unbuckle every time! This was the perfect solution. It does the work of a belt without all the work.

Works Great
Worked great for my husband’s backpack on our last trip! He prefers to have a chest strap, but liked the storage and cup holders in our current backpack. This did the trick and worked perfectly!

Serviceable
Works ok, can handle significant weight. Seems durable especially compared to a different strap I'd purchased that broke the first day of use. Clasp is serviceable but not as smooth closing/releasing as others I've tried

Serviceable strap with a few flaws
I bought this to add to my Osprey Arcane 30L duffle/backpack.Pros:* They work for these backpack straps, which have no included attachment points for a sternum strap* Materials are good* Buckles are goodCons:* Adjusting the straps is very fiddly and requires a repetitive fit/take off the backpack/adjust/try again/repeat process.* There's no easy way to adjust the sternum straps while you're wearing them. The only adjustment is the same adjustment that allows the sternum strap to fit around the backpack strap. To make the adjustable while wearing the backpack would require a second strap loop and buckle dedicated to that purpose. These don't have that.* The straps are very long, which means you need to figure out what to do with all of the extra strap flopping around. I'll leave that as an exercise for the reader, but it's possible to do with a fair amount of fiddling around. I imagine they're long to enable you to use them at the waist if you want, but I wouldn't expect these thin straps to bear any weight on your hips. At best, they'd help keep the backpack against your lower back, a problem that doesn't exist for me and my body shape.* There are no keepers for the excess strap, aside from the packing rubber bands, which I imagine will break quickly and don't do a great job of securing the excess.

They help
I bought it because my backpack was heavy and I needed some extra support. They worked, little annoying but it does what it says it does!!!!! Thank you and will recommend if others could use it as well

Works well
The install process is a tad confusing but I got through it. It works nicely but not tight enough for my low weight backpack
