Machine Shop Training Course: Volume II

I have both volume 1 and volume 2. Volume 1 is excellent...probably one of the best out there for lathe work. Volume 2 is pretty much useless for most people. Unless you are going to be working with very large high end specialized milling machines you won't find much of use here. The second book doesn't really look like it was intended as a continuation of the first book...almost two completely different books rather than volume 1 and 2.

First thing in this book was something i needed to clearify myself! Appropriate tap drill sizes! this is a neat book in which everything is a question just being answered. pretty useful in my opinion even if a bit out dated.

This book, Machine Shop Training Course Volume II, is listed as a hardcover but it is not. Despite the fact that Volume I is published as a hardcover, Industrial Press have decided to only offer this book as a paperback, a decision that makes little sense. For those of us that wish to own both volumes it is very irritating, especially considering that it is being sold for the exact same price as the first volume, although that book is a hardcover. It is possible that this book was previously sold in hardcover, but that is obviously no longer the case, and Amazon has failed to properly advertise this fact. I would return this item but I have no other option if I want to have the two volume set.
