These are great to use before drinking. Less hangover, less headaches, less stomach ache, stops flushing from wine or other things I can sometimes be sensitive to… love these.

This product works. DAO has helped to feel better and be able to eat more foods.

I eat an insanely low histamine diet but still have reactions. This lets me branch out a little bit more! Only tried for 3 days, but it made a huge difference.

May 2024 -Disappointed by the quality of what I am receiving lately. (this product is unregulated so no real protection for us consumers). Do they even have quality control I wonder?I began using DAO in 2016 from the original co. (not this one) at 20000 units/cap and it worked GREAT - amazing in fact!Then a product shortage. DAO became unavailable, until this co. (OMNE DIEM ) started offering 20000 unit/caps , which worked OK. Eventually the original co (not Omne) started offering 10000 unit/cap product again, but not cheaper, so I began buying these, and they worked well enough.However, now - this co. (OMNE DIEM) has started labeling their product 30000 units (up from 20000 HDU) on the front of the label - on my last shipment, but their capsules are not working better as I would expect?? I have to take more capsules, not fewer, per meal, which really has me questioning how much effective DAO is really in these (OMNE DIEM's) capsules? Even with taking more it is almost like I am not taking much of anything.My diet has only improved over the years, fresher, with me getting better at avoiding high histamine foods. But it is not possible to avoid all histamine, and my symptoms are noticeable if I don't take enough DAO. It is obvious when I need to take more- which, again, I should NOT have to take more capsules per meal (like I am now doing) if there REALLY is more DAO in Omne DIEM's capsules ... as the new label SAYS.I will come back and update this review if anything changes.UPDATE: August 2024 - I am convinced there is false advertising or lack of quality control or something going on with this product from this company. Capsules are definitely not providing the DAO support I was used to getting for years, which makes these supposedly "30000 HDU" labeled capsules a waste of money.

I’ve just started these a few days ago, too early to review fully but so far they’ve been working. I take 1 capsule with morning coffee & protein shakes, 2 with other meals that include some amount of histamine & doing ok so far. I’ll update as time goes on.

Between high histamine levels and immune disease I must carefully select supplements with full review of active and inactive ingredients prior to purchase. I react to all nightshades, legumes, citrus, nuts and much more. For 10 years I would often wake in the morning to a very swollen face, hands and gut with nasty malaise and great exhaustion!?!?I learned from a Mast Cell Specialist about the high histamine gut and eliminating high histamine foods. With IBS that lead to SBO (that I can't take antibiotics or probiotics for due to reactions) that wiped out one of the two enzymes in the gut that blocks histamine you end up with swelling. The mystery was it usually hit overnight while sleeping or within 10 minutes of waking???? Histamine rises at night and first thing in the morning!! Bingo after 10 years of hiding half the day due to swelling and feeling terrible I finally have it under control because of this supplement. Every now and again I will wake to a swollen face but the incidence of this happening has dropped 95% since it started taking this supplement twice a day when I eat. It has made a remarkable difference in my quality of life and have taken it every day for 4 months. i plan to stay on it for years to come. it really works for me and I hope it works for you, but like many supplements you need to find what works best for you and your system. I like the product very much, its not full of extra stuff I don't want or need and it works great.

I have histamine intolerance, which is a subset of mast cell activation syndrome. I like this product because it allows me to eat forbidden foods that without, would cause me a great deal of pain (migraines, abdominal pain, skin rashes, etc.) . It is important to take 15 minutes prior to eating for best absorbency. They are easy to swallow and have no taste.This product has allowed me to eat holiday meals with friends and family without bringing my own “safe meal”. Histamine Digest replaces the DAO enzyme my body no longer makes. I still eat a low FODMAP diet, and this product allows me to make exceptions to the very long forbidden foods list. I’m a fan for life!

I have struggled for a few years with migraines. After doing a lot of food diaries and elimination diet I discovered multiple foods that cause my migraines. But I still did not have everything narrowed down. I did figure out that eating causes me many headaches. After research about histamine intolerance I decided to try this product. I take one before I eat. It has greatly reduced my headaches but I do still have to watch my diet and stay away from trigger foods. The only downfall is the price. $1.00 a pill. If it was a bit cheaper it would be perfect.
