Sharpie Retractable Highlighters, Chisel Tip, Fluorescent Yellow, 12 Count

These are great and last a long time. As I bought these for home use the box is going to last a good amount of time which is great.

After using these retractable highlighters, I’ll never go back to the standard removable cap version. These are much more convenient. They’re thicker than standard highlighters, about twice as thick as a pencil, but I think that allows them to hold more ink. They seem to last a long time. The ink will only smear if it is used on wet writing. Once it swears, it doesn’t take long to correct itself. It is more of a flourescent yellow, and it dries quickly and retains its brightness. This allows for greater contrast between the ink and the text, making it easier to read. I have tried other colors, and yellow is still the only color that isn’t too dark. I would like to use other colors for successive readings of a text, but for now I’ve given up on that, and exclusively use yellow. Because it is retractable, all it takes is a quick click to keep the nib from drying out. The click is rather loud, about twice as loud as a Pilot G2, so they may not the best for use in a library, but they’re fine for use in a coffee shop. With that in mind, while there is still room for improvement, the one-handed action, not having to replace the cap after each use, and the price, makes these the best highlighters on the market.

THE BEST highlighters made. Once you have used the "click" version which works like a classic ball point pen, you won't want to use the old-fashioned version where you remove the cap manually. While old-fashioned version is good for extensive, longer use of the highlighter, the click type is more convenient for quick jobs. It's harder to find a box of single color click types. You can more easily find multi color packages of 3-6, but I don't use those on a regular basis. Yellow will NOT show up on b/w copies, but PINK will.

They are Sharpies. They highlight. They retract so there is no cap to lose. I guess I like that they are retractable because the caps for many of the highlighters I have purchased recently do not fit on the non-highlighter end when in use, so what do you do with the cap while using the highlighter?
