I bought this as a second unit to cover the remaining 3 rooms in my flat. I am so happy that I did! Drawing comparisons with my approximately 5-6 years old unit would be unfair to the older one, everything I would have changed on the 1st has been done with this new one. The exhaust hose (the 1.5 metre flexi which vents the hot air outside) connection system is superb, allowing easy removal of the exhaust hose for storage while still preventing heat loss while in use. After reading a couple of the negative reviews, one of which claimed that the unit was leaking heat, I can only think that this is referring to the heat from the exhaust hose. Easily resolved with insulation (available designed for this purpose) as far as the low star rating for noise, moving air create's sound, to avoid this look into installing a fixed air conditioning system and put aside £2000 for a basic one 😀 summary: this is a fantastic unit which does what it is supposed to for a very reasonable price

The unit is very noisy but it makes my attic bedroom cool at night which is a godsend when you have to try to sleep in a bloody oven in the summer. The remote control I received did not work at all and I am waiting to hear back from the seller regarding that. Additionally, the listing is incorrect for this item. It clearly shows and describes this as having an A*** energy rating which was one of the reasons I bought it, however when it turned up, it is actually just A rated. The instructions in the box say to not turn it on for 2 hours after moving the unit, but a sticker on the outer box says to leave it for 24 hours. As with moving a fridge/freezer, I'd recommend leaving it for 24 hours as you have no idea if it's been shipped lying down despite the obvious warnings on the box to keep it upright.

This is one of the best things I have invested in in a while. It cooled down my conservatory from 33oC to 24oC in about half an hour. Don't get me wrong it is a large unit, and is noisy, but it is worth it. Just to cool my place down enough to live comfortably. One issue I would recommend the builders change would be to increase the size of the exhaust hose as it doesn't reach out top windows which leaves us trying to put the exhaust out of the door.

As an air conditioning unit, this works very well and quickly reduces the temperature to the desired setting. It works very well in my large sized bedroom (when the hose works) but it is very noisy! The sleep mode setting makes no difference to the noise. Unit comes with wheels but the unit itself is rather heavy, I really struggled to get it uostairs! Really disappointed though and not impressed with the hose attachment that you place out a window. It's not a great length and despite me fitting the hose as instructed to the air conditioner attachment, time and time again, it has just come off as soon as I switch the air conditioner on resulting in hot air escape- extremely frustrating! For now, I have wrapped lots of masking tape around the connection between the hose and air conditioner connector to try solve the problem. It's so hot at the moment and very annoying when you have paid out for an air conditioner but can't use it!

I purchased this AC unit when I lived in a top floor flat that got very hot in the summer (around 30 degrees Celsius). It was very effective at cooling the room I used it in and it made the summer months bearable for me. Quite the life saver - I highly recommend this for anyone who lives in a similar property that traps a lot of heat during the summer. I used its regular fan function a few times too (which was good but nothing special), but I have not used it as a dehumidifier, so I cannot comment on that particular functionality. I imagine most buyers are interested in the AC function anyway. There are some things potential buyers might want to consider before buying. First is the noise. I can't imagine you can find many quiet AC units, but this unit is certainly quite loud. This didn't bother me when I was using it during the day because the relief was worth any noise and I got used to it fairly quickly. However, I refrained from using it overnight, because it would have likely disturbed my downstairs neighbours. Secondly, I was unable to use the plastic window fittings provided with the unit. I get the impression that the fittings provided with this unit suit window styles that are not very common in the UK. Due to the windows I had in my flat, I had to wedge the funnel in an open window, which was a bit fiddly at times. However, despite the fact that hot air could still enter my flat through the gaps in the window, the room was still cooled sufficiently. I did not need to buy any kind of window sealing product - the AC unit still worked very effectively. Finally, I used this unit primarily in a room that featured a roof window. The tube was not long enough to reach the roof window, so I had to buy a separate, longer tube. However, I imagine this will not be an issue for most buyers.though.

I could see the potential ,but not for me . Check your windows will cater for the extraction hose .otherwise you'll just end up heating up your room . A lot of the windows this works for are just not in the UK . Realistic the windows need to waist height or o open up preferable to the diagram illustrated in the instructions it wasn't the same for me as my Windows are high and small , and the window couldn't grip the extraction pipe to dump all the warm air out of the room. Still a 5 out of 5 but not for me.

Not recommended, remote control never worked, it leaks from the drain.

Fantastic air con especially this summer with added dehumidifier bonus setting for winter when we put it into the loft. really recomend this product
