Not what I was expecting, lighter color not what I needed.
My review of Magic Cover Adhesive Shelf and Drawer Liner, 18 Inches by 9 Feet, Golden OakThe color of this contact paper is way lighter then it shows online. Before I purchased this contact paper I viewed it on 4 different monitors and they all are calibrated perfectly but when I received the paper it was at least twice as light as what it showed on the monitors. The Finish and durability of the paper seems to be very nice and also seems to have enough tackiness. It has a wood grain type of texture to it as well. The back of the paper is Marked Clearly with a nice grid pattern to aide in cutting the pieces to the proper width and length as needed. What is included1x Roll 18" x 9' Adhesive LinerWarranty/Guarantee Claim:None found I do not receive any monetary payment for my reviews, and I always keep them honest. So no need to worry whether or not my review is genuine, because it is. Also if you found this review helpful marking it as so would be greatly appreciated thanks!

As described
Used this contact paper that matched my maple cabinets exactly to recover stained shelf bottom. With patience easy to install.

Good looks at a great price
I absolutely like this film. My only take away is that I wish the adhesive was a bit stronger to stay in place. Overall it's still a great product.

Awesome contact paper!
I bought this to cover the ugly, 70's orange laminate on some cabinet doors at work. I thought anything was worth a try and ought to look better than the orange. I was delighted with this contact paper.First of all, it has a grid on the back for easy measuring and cutting, which was really helpful. Second, it has a good adhesive in that it didn't stick with the force of superglue wherever it touched, which allowed it to be easily repositioned, yet once I smoothed it down with a credit card it was firmly stuck and is not about to budge. It was very easy to apply that was with no ridges or bubbles. Third, it's pretty realistic wood-grain - you'd think my cabinet doors were real wood now, except that the sheet wasn't quite large enough so I had to line the edge with decorative purple duct tape (I promise this makes sense given the work place). The cheapo duct tape I bought was way harder to work with than this contact paper. I posted a picture with one door done and one original so you can see how much better it looks, duct tape and all (and honestly, if I had purchased a third roll and had the patience I could probably match the grain and stick another strip of wood-grain up and it wouldn't be that noticeable, but I decline to spend the money and time).

Very thin with poor adhesive
Get what ya pay for.. paper thin with very little adhesion.. spend more $$ for a better product.

Golden Oak worked good as a shelf liner
My previously installed liner on a shelf was starting to look bad, so I needed to replace it. And I wanted to add another shelf to the cabinet. The Golden Oak was as close to the pattern I previously used so that's what I went with. The instructions expect this to be installed on a smooth surface, like one that has been glossed with polyurethane. But I didn't want to do that. Instead I took a piece of plywood, cut it to size, and then sanded it down to remove all the rough spots. When done it was feeling pretty smooth so I gave it a try. I ended up wrapping the liner around the top and bottom and put the seem on the back of the shelf. I found the adhesive was OK but I thought it would fall off over time since I didn't treat the wood as directed. I just stapled at the overlap at the back and that solved that concern. I then did a similar thing to the shelf I needed to re-line.In the end this did what I wanted and it looks good too. The smell took a little bit of time to go away but it wasn't so bad to deserve a reduction in the review rating.

Not very adhesive
Low price = Low qualityThe adhesive does not stick well and the contact paper is so thin it tears easily. This would be okay to use as self liners if you leave the backing on it.I will not purchase this brand again. At least it was inexpensive and worked well enough for my project.
