Another must read from Abbie Zanders!!
Best Laid Plans by Abbie Zanders is an awesome contemporary romance. Ms. Zanders has once more delivered a well-written book, but let me warn you, once you start it you won't be putting it down. AND...her books are addictive. I can't seem to get enough. The characters in this story are phenomenal, my favorite part of the book. Sandy has had a sad and underprivileged background, but she's finally ready to move on to the city and leave her hometown behind. Until her father arrived on her doorstep. Heff was a partner in Sanctuary, an operation to help vets. Heff and Sandy's story is packed with drama, humor, sizzle, suspense, action and outstanding dialog. I loved every page of this book and look forward to my next book by Abbie Zanders. Best Laid Plans is book 2 of the Sanctuary Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

In my top ten reads this year
The care that Abbie delivers in this read was truly remarkable. Having a nephew with high functioning Autism it was like his world playing out as I read. She obviously did her research thoroughly and it showed. The story was a page turner from start to finish. I couldn’t put it down. The leads Sandy and Heff fantastic characters who you could relate to. Watching the struggle that Sandy faved when surprised with a half brother she knew nothing about and then throw in the Autistic factor and I fell in love with her. Some may have just turned their backs and pursued their dreams but she didn’t. Putting her life on hold for him.Heff may have had a reputation for being a manwhore but that was in the past. Beneath the charming good looks and the bad boy persona bares the heart of a man who loves unconditionally and with no reservations. When he doesn’t stand in Sandys way to let her pursue her dreams that there showed his tru character. The way he accepted Kevin with no reservations also made him special.Throw in the suspense and trying to figure out who has it in for the Sanctuary they are trying to create for veterans and you are on the edge.I loved catching up with characters from the Callaghan’s series.I can’t wait to see where this goes next.In my top ten reads this year.

Good book
This rating is based on my preference of romance books. It’s not interesting to me unless the MC’s interact with each other and we get to see them get to know each other throughout the book. Other than them hooking up for a one night stand at the beginning of the book, they pretty much led separate lives and didn’t see each other much until half way through the book. So it only got great for me at the last half of the book. The last half is awesome. We finally get to see them hang out and flirt and get to know each other. More action. More sweet moments.

Another good read
The Sanctuary continues to come together. Handsome Heff feels like something is missing from his life. He has a brief encounter with Sandy from the diner. Little does he know she is planning to leave the next day.But as they say best laid plans don’t always coincide with reality. She discovers love and a sense of family. Then the New York job comes through.I thoroughly enjoyed reading their story to see how it ends.

The hills are alive!
This book kept me on pins and needles. I had already decided on the ending but happier with Annie's ending.

Must read book
Oh goodness - I was hooked right from the start of this book. The sexual chemistry, humor, awkwardness of a one-night stand, not to mention a nosy neighbor. And that was all in the first chapter. There are several storylines - with Sandy and Heff, and their potential relationship being the main thread. It was great to see Brian, Tori and Danny brought into this story. Then there was the small town politics, sabotague at the Santuary, an autistic half-brother, and so much more. This story is so well-written and I can't recommend it highly enough. There are challenging situations for the characters and the story does highlight how many in the military have a difficult time adjusting to civilian life. Hopefully more of the secondary characters will get their own stories.

Pretty good
I ran across” Ms. Abbie’s Callaghan series a few years back. This series is an off-shoot if the Callaghan books. (Which in my opinion is one of her best series.)Book one of the Sanctuary series was a page burner, with a bit of intrigue. This book, while far from boring; didn’t quite hold up to the same expectation. But, taken on its own is still quite excellent. It got a little slow in parts, but still held my interest. I have an idea Ms. Abbie may be building up to something with a few aspects of the story (not giving it away..)I truly loved the autistic brother to the lead female character. Having a highly functioning autistic nephew, that I raised for a number of years and dearly love; I did enjoy how Ms. Abbie showed him opening up because of the horses. Horses and dogs the greatest creatures on earth for all of us!The romance part was mild, but believable. I think it’s worth your time and money.

Wicked one night stand
She thought she was leaving that life would be simple. As they say the best laid plans do not always work out the way you planned. So you have a brother you did not know existed and then you find yourself taking care of this brother way longer than expected. So the one night stand was way better than you thought it would be and you want more. Just read along and see how this all pans out and you learn how the plan was supposed to go not the way you wanted it to go. Enjoy this set her free love story she will return.

Great continuing storyline
Wasn't going to read this one in one go (had plans to do housework!) but once started could not put it down. It overlaps nicely with book one but doesn't give too much away and slots in nicely with the first book. It was great seeing the guys again and watching Sanctuary progress as well as watching Heff fall in love with Sandy. The characters are great and varied and you wish that you could meet with them in real life and experience the friendship that binds them.

Abbie Zanders is a masterful storyteller. I had read her Callaghan Brothers series and loved them all. So I thought I would give this book a shot. Wow!! The chemistry and the emotions and the relationships! Dragged me in and now I'm off to get the rest of this series.

A good read
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and didn’t want it to finish. I loved Sandy and Heff and it was lovely to catch up with the Callaghan’s. I love it when there’s cross over from other books. I’m looking forward to reading the next instalment from Sanctuary. All in all a really good read.
