“The Tree of Life" Tallit is an original work of art. Artist, Elena Hedvig, a graduate of Kent Institute of Art & Design, lives and works in California with her husband and daughter. Her interest in exploring Jewish art is a part of her creative personal exodus. The fabric is 100% natural silk. Atarah is painted right on the tallit. Hebrew on the Atarah reads: Baruch atah Adonai Elohainu melekh ha’olam asher kid’ishanu b’mitzvotav v’tzivanu l’hitateif ba’tzitzit / Blessed are You, Lord our God, Ruler of the Universe, who commanded us to wrap ourselves in tzitzit. Wool tzitzit strings from Israel are tied in a traditional Ashkenazi pattern. A blue velvet tallit bag is included.
