The media could not be loaded. these stayed waterproof until the water line got above the seam. they are a bit bulky, but fit like normal socks and were comfortable in my hiking boots.I wore them to hike the narrows in zion and even when the water made it in they acted like a wet suit and kept me warm and comfortable. no blisters, no sagging. no need for the wader/boot/stick rental.I wear a men's 5 and ordered the extra small. they fit perfectly in the foot and were easy to get on. they covered my whole calls and were snug but not tight.

Not really waterproof
Went on a hike in the Narrows of Zion Park. Water does come thru the sock. Its more like a wet suit. A thin layer of water gets in and you body keeps it warm. I think it would work for steps in puddles on hikes or walking in the snow where it gets inside your boot. Not really for being fully submerged for an extended period of time. It is however very comfortable.

Stayed warm and dry
I ordered these for my husband to wear while on our raft when water is still cold. He said they were comfortable and did keep his feet warm and dry.

Water tight as promised so far
My good snake-proof boots have a slight leak across the top of one foot. I can’t afford to replace the boots right now, but I use them a lot camping and hiking. I ordered these waterproof socks as a temporary compromise to get another year out of the boots. The socks are a bit clownish, not what I would call attractive. But who cares? They are going to be hidden inside equally garish camo snake boots. They have an odd almost neoprene feel to them on the inside and I thought they were going to be very hot. The outer surface fits snug like slight compression. I put them on and turned on the patio spigot. Stood under it, soaking the socks from the knee and stomping around in the pooling water for a few minutes. Then came and sat on the deck for a while. They felt pretty comfortable once I got them on. I could feel a sensation in my feet of “cooling” and I thought my feet were probably getting wet. But after waiting a few minutes, I pulled the socks off and stuck my hand in to the toe. Both socks were dry inside, wet outside. I think if I had stuffed paper into the toes, it would not have gotten wet or smeared. I checked with my hand several times and turned one sock inside out. There was a very slight feel of almost condensation or something but definitely not water on the insides. I haven’t tested them with the boots yet but am planning some hikes with creek crossings in the next month. If the socks don’t perform as promised, I will update my review. First impression and test is they passed and are as stated in the listing. I wear a size 8-8.5 wide toe box hiking shoe (women size), 6.5-7 snake boot (men size). I ordered the XS socks and they are a good fit.

Not durable
Just got back from a week camping trip in the boundery waters. Water was 40°. The socks were pretty comfortable but after the first day they started leaking a little then continued leaking worse. I bought 2 pair and they both did the same thing. I guess if your wearing f them arou.d the house they may be ok but out in the wilderness your foi.g to have wet cold feet.

Kept my feet dry in the shallow cold water.
I'm a size 13. Fit perfect and was very comfortable to wear all day in the canoe and while having to portage, it kept my feet dry in the shallow cold water.
