Great for swimming pool
Works great for leveling a swimming pool in, very accurate, with in a water droplet accurate. It has a very loud buzzer So I put a piece of duct tape over the speaker to tone it down some

very helpful tool
This was my first time using a water level. It was not to difficult to use. I like how I can get a level reading almost everywhere on my projects. Now that I have some practice I am going to attempt to level the floors in my house. The only thing i don't like are the clips at the ends of the hose it unclips its self if you drop it and it lands a certain way causeing the water to run out. Then you have to take it down and refill it.

Leveling/laying out foundations etc with confidence for one person
I found this device perfect for setting out the footings for a large garden summer house to the correct depth, and ensuring that the eventual base was at the planned height, and ensuring that it was constructed level across its entire 4-5 metre surface (the head unit being installed at my pre-determined fixed reference point). With practice, and just patience, got consistent results/readings within +/- 1 mm over the entire area being set out (against my own fixed measure). Filled the tubing with water (no dye/additive required) from a tumble drier condenser in order to minimise the build up of hard water residues (from the evaporation of small water droplets which when using 'hard' water are probably going to leave a residue on the inner surface of the tubing after emptying). Separately bought plastic end caps suitable for 8mm inner diameter tubing to seal the tubing when not in use, in order to avoid repeated emptying/refilling. Found it easy to remove air bubbles, and the larger diameter tubing ensured the water levels at the head unit and measuring point stabilised quite quickly. The tubing was sturdy and did not kink. Threw away my previous cheap and chearful version which leaked, kinked, need two people to use, was somehow alarmingly inconsistent (how?), and needed a food colouring added to the water in order for one person to use the device over any great distance. Made for one!
Priceless for working alone. If you are a detail person like myself and you like things perfect well this is for you. No special glasses to see a small dot from a laser, or holding equipment, no special needs to operate just a 9v batteries and some water. Comes with water adapter to fill easily but I use my RV water tank rinse that is always hooked to hose since it has a easy shit off and power. Sound is a little high but just encourages you to move faster and shut off quicker

Better than the old version since it allows easily adjusting the reference level up or down some by loosening a special nut. Downside is if you loosen the nut too much the nut falls off and you have to find it since it is a special nut. Great for leveling in hard to reach places and around corners or obstructions if you take your time and for one man operation.

Ease of Use
This type of measuring device has been used for thousands of years, adding an electronic sensor made it just amazing. If I want something perfectly level, I would use this tool over any laser level on the market. Well done, very happy with the solid construction and ease of you. T Y

To use this as instructed, you only work with the water contained in the tube, which is nearly impossible because getting it filled with no air requires a faucet and since both ends of the tube need to be open you'll invariably spill some or if or it will evaporate and then you'll have to keep shortening the tube to make it work. Basically the only way to use this is with a bucket of water, which you don't really need the buzzer for but since I had already bought it I set it up that way. This way you can siphon out of the bucket every time you go to use it an always have a tube with no air in it. I probably would have returned this if I hadn't waited so long to try it. The water takes several seconds to settle every time you moves so it's not great for finding high and low spots when you're doing grades. The ONLY two advantages this had over a laser level was it is cheaper and you can go on the other side of walls with it. Well there are cheap laser levels and sensors available for nearly the same price as this thing is now, so buy one of those if you need to shoot grade, it'll be a lot less hassle.
