Approximately 5 - 3/4" wide from side to side at top, 6 - 1/2" wide from side to side at bottom, 9-1/2" long from front to back, and 7" high.

Is this made in China

Not sure where it is made, but wouldn’t recommend. Toaster broke after 6 months. Warranty is 1 year but customer service denied it was still covered. After a few calls and emails they finally agreed to replace the toaster but wanted $12.50 for shipping. There are better toasters.

If the toaster is not plugged in, will the lever stay down? basically what i want to know is: if i forget to plug in the toaster, will it let me know?

I am able to push the lever down and it stays down even though the slots are empty if the toaster is plugged in. I am unable to get the lever to stay down if the slots are empty but the toaster is not plugged in. So it lets you know that something is wrong. Thank you as I didn't know this was a feature that was present and may help me know why it won't work. I have enjoyed the bagel function and it has been really enjoyable!
