S**!
I love being a trucker! Even if it's a game.

This is a great game. It's Euro-based …, but that's okay. It has great graphics. I enjoy how the shadow of the truck follows the movement … the sun's low in the sky, you go around a curve and the truck's shadow comes around in front following your movement realistically. Cars pass you and the sound is realistic. The mirrors seem to be very accurate, too. What you see in the front … you pass it and the detail seems to be quite accurate in the mirrors. It's not a complicated game to learn … which I like … you can start off driving right away. There's not really a tutorial other than some suggestions; you basically learn it by playing it, but it's not difficult. The steering with the gamepad is okay, but I also have a Thrustmaster and it's great. A couple of things you might find interesting, not all traffic obeys the law. You see a car coming … you have time to turn in front of it, but it hits you anyway … not always, but sometimes. You'll soon learn just to wait and let it pass before you pull out. And sometimes a car in front just slows down for no purpose … other than for the game to keep you on your toes. Another thing is, you can change the view, but it would be nice if you could keep the in-cab view and still scroll to look out the side windows. Instead, you either change your view or you just pull out into traffic hoping nothing is coming. Even with a few minor quirks, I give this 5 stars. The Thrustmaster vibrates, the steering stiffens with conditions, and the steering is responsive and accurate … and the graphics are quite good. It's an enjoyable game. You find shippers, which are located on the map, use the GPS to go to them, get the job, use the GPS to pick up and deliver, and then go to shippers for more jobs. Go to rest areas when the game says you're tired. Go get fuel when the fuel gauge is low. Go to the garage when the game notifies you that you need tires or repairs. Build up money (Euros) and buy more trucks or customize your current truck. I think this is simply an enjoyably game - not complicated, not a career move to learn it, and fairly realistic game-play with the Thrustmaster - with enjoyable graphics.
