Very good but expensive
Opening the box, there is a clear impression of quality. First, the box itself is thicker and higher quality than that of most other teas, and the same can be said for the plastic wrapping that holds the teabags. Except that these teabags are not really bags at all - the tea is packaged in tetrahedra the makers call "tea temples", which are transucent and rather pleasant to the touch. Each has a thin string attached, with a label at the other end.So the presentation is very good indeed. What of the taste? The tea has a rich, distinctive flavour you won't mistake for what run of the mill teabags provide. I enjoy it on special occasions rather than as the "Everyday" tea the name suggests. I find it goes very well with quite strongly flavoured foods like battered cod and chips. The downside, and reason for deducting a star, is the price, which is something like five times the cost of good quality teabags from, say, Marks & Spencer. Is it justified? You decide. As mentioned, I get the best of both worlds by enjoying it on a non-routine basis, thereby saving money as well as savouring the taste as something special.

Nice tea.. poor quality control
I’ve just checked. I’ve ordered these 12 times. I like the everyday brew tea.. BUT..... they have some huge quality control issues.. I’ve had boxes with string on the bag as 1/4 length so it isn’t long enough to stay out of the.. some of the time the paper is stuck so well to the bag that removing it splits it making it useless.. maybe my fault.. but the most recent box I’m maybe 10 bags In and half of them are split before I even touch them..

Too many bags split when separating string
I’m a bit fed up with these teabags. I’ve bought them several times as I like the flavour but they are, without doubt, a luxury item at the price. I’d say at least 5 teabags out of the 50 get a hole in when you separate the string from the bag (it’s stuck to it) meaning you get a load of tea leaves escaping into the cup, either rendering it undrinkable or meaning you get a load of tea leaves in your mouth!I really think the string is unnecessary and wasteful for home use. For catering I understand it but perhaps this element could be removed for home consumption as it’s what’s causing the bags to break?

Teapigs Earl Grey
As mentioned in my review of their english tea, these bags work best if brewed for several minutes and in a mug that is pre warmed to maintain the correct temperature. It's clearly a high quality leaf tea, and not in paper bags, so the result is a better class of tea with good depth of flavour.

Brilliant everyday tea!
Originally, I used to buy this Teapigs as a present for the black-tea lover, and now I have a number of relatives and friends (who live abroad) who demand boxes of this (and other) Teapigs teas every time I travel. This would make, what I would call, a pretty standard cup of black tea (i.e. with no bergamot, mont, orange or any other additions). The tea expands in the bag and you can see that it is not tea dust (like in cheaper teabags). A tea bag of "everyday brew" is not too dark and can be enjoyed without milk, but I very often have it with a hint of milk and sugar.Teapigs are doing great job with their selection of very good teas at quite competitive price (the money you pay for this box of 50 tea bags is worth paying!). I highly recommend the whole selection of Teapigs.

This tea does not appear to have been made with whole leaves
I’ve had Everyday Brew in restaurants etc and the T bags have always been full of big whole leaves. I ordered whole leaves Everyday Brew and having opened the packet I can see that these Tbags do not appear to have whole leaves. Uniform in size and definetly lack the flavour previously experienced. Can’t be bothered with returning them and I will use them but I won’t buy these again

In my opinion this is the best tea
In my opinion this is the best tea out there. I received a couple of complimentary bags at a hotel a few years ago and thought it was so good that I purchased a box as soon as I got home. My wife agreed that it was the best tea she had also tasted. It is a bit pricey so we don’t buy it very often but we like to purchase a box every now and again and makes for an excellent gift. Highly recommend this tea
