Great combo to have for maintaining fishing reels and other small delicately machined parts. After a through cleaning on several of my reels followed by re-lubrication they felt smoother. Just make sure the caps are tight and they are stored upright, I had a slight leak.

I use this on my e-foil, I use it in salt water so I want to make sure the connections are kept corrosion free. This stuff works, I use it on the electrical connections and the metal. Recommended by the e-foil manufacturer and I can see why.

I've always used Lucas REEL Oil which is a fantastic light weight high performance bearing oil, then a friend educated me on a little known fact that many fishing reel manufacturers, especially those that produce reels for Saltwater, use this brand in their reels for the anti-corrosion additives no to mention the superior lubrication properties in bearings. Also, this brand is endorsed by the NORTH AMERICAN FISHING CLUB & many Saltwater organizations in the U.S.. I'm winterizing my baitcasters & the two spinning reels I own & cannot wait for the spring. Just the " word of mouth ", the endorsements & the photographic evidence is enough for me. The grease has a " additive smell to it isn't overly thick which means it should adhere to gears & not gum up or thin out w/temperature changes. The product description says it molecularly bonds w/metal ? Time will tell!

This is actually probably some good stuff for the latest generation of reels with micro gear teeth, but older reels it’s too thin. It will not provide a thick enough layer of grease for reels with wider teeth to quietly operate. I had completely broke down a Shimano Chronarch 100D7 from 2009 and used ReelX and after putting it back together it was super loud and noisy. I replaced every bearing there is and it was still noisy. It wasn’t until after complete disassembly and cleaning and using Quantum Hot Sauce that it got quiet again. I will hold onto this stuff for the level wind, but won’t be using it for older reels anymore.
