Mic Stand Extension Tube, 5/8" Female to 5/8" Male Microphone Extension Pipe for Desk Stands & Arm Stand

I had to get a brand new microphone (PreSonus Revelator) after my primary mic died right in the middle of a project, but when I attempted to attach the new mic to my Rode PS1+ mic arm, I realized there wasn't enough clearance to plug in the cable. This was exactly what I needed, fixed the problem completely in seconds. Good quality, sturdy metal, good quality finish, feels like it will last me and blends in perfectly with the Rode arm AND the mic.

Good quality threaded pipe. If you need one, you need one. I needed the extension to fit my SM7dB to my R0DE boom arm without interference. This does the job nicely and matched the finish of the mic and boom I have giving it a seamless look.

This extension tube is exactly what I needed to lower my microphone a bit. Now the connection wire doesn't interfere with the rest of the arm when I move it around. It feels solid and the extra screw adapters were nice to have just in case.

Honestly, they were better than i expected them to be. They were solid and most importantly, thread together nice and tight with no wobble. Lets see how they hold up over time

When I bought my beloved Shure Super 55, I had no idea that it would not fit on a standard boom mic stand arm. Upon reading about it online, I learned that this is a common unexpected surprise for new owners. So yes, you need to buy a mic stand extension to use this mic live. If you look at the bottom of the handle of the Super 55, the mic cable hole is way too close to the stand mounting hole. Which means once you screw the mic on the mic stand arm, there is no room for the mic cable to fit. An extension fixes that problem. I would not say it is a design flaw in the mic necessarily, but the manufacturer should warn customers that they need to buy an accessory to be able to use the mic with a boom mic stand. Or better yet, why not include the extension with the mic? Shure sells the extension separately. But I bought this brand because I got two extensions for the same price as one costs from Shure. They look exactly the same. They come with threaded adapters and are super easy to install.

Simple, cheap and perfect. Extended the mic holder so the mic is closer to my face. Having a spare is handy to give to a friend or something but I can't see the one I have failing at any stage.
