NATURELAND Vaginal pH Test Strips, BV and Yeast Infection Test, 40 Count

These work great and are easy to use. I was skeptical but after using a few times, I do feel they are accurate. The strips in my picture are from 3 different days (when I was recovering from BV). As you can see, initially it was a dark blue (abnormal). With treatment, it improved and I finally got a yellow/greenish result which is normal. You will have to buy swabs as they do not come with the testing strips.

Ladies sometimes just need to know our balance. We have a delicate balance that's easily upset by different things like antibiotics, menopause, menstrual cycles, pregnancy, etc. It's nice to have a way to test the ph balance in case us ladies need to know if somethings not right. These work well.

5 stars for a product that's very easy to use and offers near-instant results. It's nice being able to test at home to know whether the next step ought to be a visit to the clinic or not. Dropping a star because the 80 strip pack was packed SO tight in the tube that they were super difficult to remove. It's as if they used the 50 strip container and stuffed an extra 3 packages inside. I had to use needlenose pliers to remove all the foil envelopes and then simply returned the opened strips to the tube, leaving the unused and unopened foil envelopes for next use.

I have struggled with BV in the past and whenever I've gotten unusual discharge or feel "off", I panic internally and jump to "Here we go again! Antibiotics! Cream gel up my hoohaw for 5 days!" but sometimes it's anxiety and just my hormones. This is my second time purchasing these test strips, and I made sure to test them before and after one of my BV infections was treated. As is usually seen when BV is present, the test strip showed blue and was in the abnormal zone (higher pH than normal). After the treatment, when the infection was cured, the test strip showed yellow-moss green (normal pH range). This gave me a reference so when I feel symptoms coming on, I will use these and it will show normal. For some women, like myself, there are points in my cycle when discharge is off, but nothing is wrong, and there is no imbalance or infection. It's even more complicated since I have an IUD so you don't always know what is "normal". I have recently missed one of my periods (not pregnant lol), and discharge felt off. The test strip showed normal, and several days later, I got spotting. Make sure you monitor your discharge and cycle on apps if you can, and use this occasionally for extra support to know what's your normal. Note that vaginal pH isn't static and will change throughout your cycle naturally. Of course, don't test when you're on your period or spotting since blood is more alkaline and can throw off the reading. And also, most importantly, as the instructions say, this test is not perfect and does not replace a gynecological checkup or vaginal discharge culturing. Yeast infections often show normal pH, and some infections don't even show abnormal symptoms. When in doubt, check in with your doctor.

The colors between 4.5, 5, and 5.5 are so similar that you’re just left guessing if pH is normal or abnormal. Waste of money. I had to go back and order from another brand. Leaving 5 stars so the review doesn’t get buried

Doesn't come with a swab

I have had a few months to test this out a few times. My results are always normal. I just wanted these strips to have in case . They are extremely easy to use and it's very clear to color match the sticks to the bottle. It does what it says it does.

I use these often because I deal with BV more than any woman should ever have to (I’m so depressed about it, trust me when I say I’ve tried everything to cure it) these strips are accurate! I test when I’ve done things to bring my ph to normal, and I’ve tested in the morning before my discharge begins to make its way down, and the strip is always in the normal ph green swatch. I’ve also tested before bed, before treatment, and if I haven’t used a Treatment in a few days, and the test trip quickly turns dark blue! :(. I use clean hands and a fresh cotton swab that i store in a clean sanitized container, i NEVER touch the cotton tip of the swab, I hold the stick in the middle and gently insert and swirl just enough inside my bits and then I immediately swipe it on the test strip and wait the 20 seconds, even tho it’s immediate. I don’t recommend sticking the plastic sharp edges strip directly into your vag because ouch.. I DO RECOMMEND that you store these in the tube and box they came in, in a dry dark Temp controlled place (under the sink) and close it/put it away immediately after you pull a strip out. You can save yourself a doctors trip with these as long as you educate yourself on possible causes/treatments for yeast or bv!
