Very good casting reel,no tangle! Very good price,easy to use! I had a problem changing line tho,it took a while to out smart the reel but I got it done! Now its easy once you figure it out ,no instruction on that! Only problem I had with the reel ,love it!

This was my first non-child reel when I was growing up and I got this for my girlfriend's 10 year old son for his birthday and he loves it. It's the perfect size for most types of freshwater fishing and some saltwater fishing. I feel like the quality is just as good if not better as the one that I had when I was a kid. It looks like it's built to last and I found the direct be exceptionally smooth. Setting the tension on the drag is easy it reels nicely. You can't beat it for the money. If you're looking for a fun casual real for yourself or a perfect starter reel for a kid that doesn't have a lot of experience the 33 is the classic place to start. There is a reason it's been around for so long

This is a mini zebco 33 but it arrived fast in excellent condition. It was a good price point.

I bought this as a replacement for my son's 4' fishing pole. It works perfectly with a smooth action! So far we have caught plenty of blue gill, a few little bass and a catfish on it. Would recommend! Note: the first one I ordered literally popped apart almost immediately after I received it. Amazon quickly sent a replacement and the replacement works great! Update 11/24/24 - The reel got massively tangled up outside the spool, but inside the cover. Unfortunately this ruined a night of fishing for my son. Review updated to 4 stars.

I love this REEL! Small yet mighty. One click the line goes out and very easy to reel in. Makes catching fish, getting it in the boat quick and easy. Smaller than others so it has a comfortable grip and great test line. For the beginner fisherman/fisherwoman, child or for experienced fishermen. Rest easy knowing this won’t fail.

Most children’s rod and reel combos are crap. I bought a decent Mr Crappie rod for my son to use, and while the rod is fantastic, the reels wore out quickly. As I have good experience with the new 33s, I figured that this little reel would do the trick. Operates smoothly, casts like a dream and is easy for a 5-6 year old to handle. The line it comes with is ok. Everyone has their preferred brands, and I suggest respooling with fresh 2-4lb test sooner rather than later. These metal bodied Zebcos can take a beating, I recommend them heartily.

Worked for a hour and then it fell apart when I casted off my dock and parts flew in the lake. It is cheap junk, don’t buy it

Nice reel for kids! Can’t go wrong with zebco been making fishing products for years. Not the best and definitely not the worst!
