Moved 1,000 Pounds of Firewood with Ease
This was a life changer. My dad is 70 years old and I weigh 130 pounds soaking wet so neither of us is known for our strength. In the past, we've used wheelbarrows to transport our firewood and it's taken 2 hours or more (especially if the wheelbarrow tipped over).I had ordered this as an early Christmas present for my Dad. We took 4 trips (about 250 pounds of firewood per trip so roughly 1,000 in total) and the entire effort took just 30 minutes to accomplish! We actually didn't load it up more due to fears of tipping but the 3-1 Hand Truck was incredibly sturdy and the back wheels were able to pivot smoothly on the driveway pavement lip with no sticking or inability to move left/right. If you have ever worked in a warehouse or retail and used a flatbed dolly truck, this was virtually identical. You will notice it takes a bit of negotiation to push/move it so you can't just turn it on a dime but that's to be expected. The handle goes up to about a little over mid-section on me (I'm 5'8") but my Dad, who's 6'1", was able to push it with no issues in needing to bend over too much. When pushing, the weight of the firewood was obvious but it still felt effortless and the bigger front tires added to the sturdy reliability. I opted for the steel over the aluminum of other products and I'm glad I did as I didn't feel like this would break down or that the weight would stress the flatbed part at all.Highly recommended. If you move firewood, or bigger items (dressers, bureaus, TVs, etc.) then this should pose little problem with handling it. I was especially pleased that it wasn't affected by age or strength, and that neither my Dad nor I felt like we were overdoing our physical limits with this.

We should have bought this hand truck years ago
We have moved around a bit over the years. When we were younger, lugging around furniture and books was tiring, but not injurious. But now, I really need this kind of hand truck. Here are all the features I love about this hand truck and why I wish I'd gotten it years ago;1. Easy to convert from a standing hand truck, like what you would use to move several similar sized boxes to a flat bed for moving a heavy credenza. When I say it is easy, you should know that I have a lot of trouble with my wrists and I have a hard time opening jars. It is easy and doesn't require muscles to use.2. It has quality wheels. We are moving items around a building with mostly veneer covered floors, but our old hand cart had wheels that were kinda sluggish. You had to almost push it around, even on smooth surfaces. But we used this hand truck to move a heavy bookshelf out of the building and three blocks away to a consignment store! The hand truck handled like a dream as we maneuvered it up steep curbs and past a bike lane construction area where there was a tone of dirt drifting across the sidewalks that a lesser hand truck could have gotten stuck in.3. It folds up into a smallish space. While I have always thought we should have a better hand truck, I didn't think we had the room for one. My family has been living in a smallish 900sq ft apartment and space is at a premium, but this hand truck takes up less space than our upright vacuum.4. It can carry a HUGE amount of weight. I loaded it up with three boxes of books, a box of bathroom goods and a chair!5. The handle has a good grip and is at a decent height (although, to be fair, no one in my little family is over 5'11").6. Quiet - we have had to do a fair bit of our packing and moving furniture late at night and I would hate to be too loud for our neighbors, but this hand truck's rubber wheels are practically silent and the metal components make very little noise as you convert the unit or load it down with a dozen heavy boxes.

Great for moving
My mom and dad have a similar hand truck and the family was always borrowing it. It became an issue to figure out who had it. So, we bought this one. It seems just as good, maybe a little lighter, but just as heavy duty. Now the family can have 2 to share, but this one will live at my house! Easy to roll, stores in little spacer, the plate folding up is a nice touch and I look forward to many years of using this. Great purchase.

Get this one!
Very sturdy, and therefore a little heavy but certainly worth the tradeoff. Easy, easy to change between cart and hand truck.Minimal packaging which I love! Just the box and one piece of cardboard to hold it in place.AND, the best part, no assembly! Have wanted one of these for years, glad I finally got it.

Having the ability to fold this down and use it as a cart has made my life so much easier. Thanks
This hand truck is light but also well constructed. My son and I move the contents of a 15 ft U-Haul with just the 2 of us. I had 3 very large old antique pieces.

Good Hand Truck with Some Issues
Pros:- Easy to maneuver- Folds away for space saving- Good quality wheels- Handles pretty well- Lightweight- VersatileCons:-The toe plate can be hard to fold if you're trying to step on the button that unlocks the toe plate.-The handle is prone to bending. Once it loses its integrity from bending and readjusting, it will begin to break.

Great improvement from previous versions
My family has had the older version of the costco hand truck for a while which is still going strong even from using it for very heavy equipment, so i knew i had to buy one.The improved handles and the new “no flat” tire system is great. i leave it sitting out regularly, cold, rain, snow, no rust in sight!
