Masters of the Universe Origins Castle Grayskull Playset, multicolor

Now this is what you want from a playset/display piece. It’s not quite the same as the vintage toy but looks perfect and the improvements are nice ones. Many details from the old set that were simply card have been given nice 3D plastic renditions here that really add to the feel. The construction for everything is very solid and the whole set is easy to assemble. Stickers are a welcome retro addition that go on easy but be very careful with the sticker of the metal gate, it rips easily when being removed from the sheet. The features from the vintage playset are all here and still work with the elevator, trap door and double sided flag to show who holds the castle. The included sorceress is a great figure though a shame she isn’t in the iconic colour scheme. Highly recommend this set to anyone looking for a fun toy or great display piece.

Excellent item really good value for money

As an avid fan of He Man and the Masters of the Universe in the 80s I have been following this ultimate of toys for decades, so I was incredibly happy when this new version was released! I never got to own the original 80s model, so I cannot truly compare it like for like, but what I can say is that this is a robustly build piece, it looks and feels of high quality, clearly made with modern technology yet able to retain the 80s vintage feel that I remember. Don't hesitate for a moment, you will not be disappointed

This is amazing I had one in the early 80s and this reproduction of the 80s castle is perfect from the outer box and the super artwork to the playset itself I would have thought for this kind of nostalgia I would have been paying well over £100 I got mine for £69.99 and considering it comes with a limited edition sources figure that you would normally pay £15 for makes the even more of a bargain. A very good update to the classic 1980s toy. Improvements over the original: • Flaxible plastic is less brittle. • Better decoration. • No card, now all plastic components. • Better flag, & real material banners. • New secondary weapon rack. • Better quality training spinner. • Better trapdoor mechanism. • Floors are now brown wood effect. • Hooks to lock it shut. Issues: • Weapons do not really go on the primary weapon rack very well. • The lift would benefit from either having 1 central runner, or a pair. However it has one shaft on the left, which works for raising, but judders as it lowers.

Caught this on offer! Came in the Mattel outer box so the castle box was pristine and as a collector the box is as important as the toy!😁
