Very pleased with this jacket
Every year I do some volunteer work in December that requires me to be outdoors for 4-6 hours, and every year it rains on me.I thought I'd plan ahead by getting a proper raincoat, and this one worked very well. I stood in a mega downpour for two hours, and my torso, upper body, and arms were totally dry. The hood was also great, fitting very well around my baseball cap.The coat has really long sleeves that are meant to extend well past your wrists to cover your hands. However, there's only so much they can do, because if you use your hands in the rain, water's going to get in there. That's going to be a problem with any coat, but it almost makes me wish that it had built-in gloves. At least there are elastics on the inner-sleeve part to keep water from getting past your wrists. The pockets are deep and have flaps to prevent rain from getting in, but that doesn't entirely work. Sometimes, a flap gets trapped in a way that exposes the pocket to the sky. It might have been better to have side-facing pockets.I wish the zipper was double-sided, so that you could unzip from the bottom to reach into your pockets, but that's a minor concern. There was only one downside to the jacket, and it's not really the jacket's fault. I'm only 5'6", and the jacket hangs down to my shins. Since it was also windy when I was wearing it, the bottom of the jacket kept blowing against my pant legs and getting them wet. So even though I was wearing boots, my feet were soaked from the water dripping down from my pants. The solution to this is for me to get taller boots or gaiters.Overall, I'm very happy with this jacket. I feel like a big, yellow pylon when I'm wearing it, but at least I'm a mostly dry pylon.

keeps me dry in the rain.
I drive a đźš› and make several stops every workday. if it's raining, I cannot wait until it let's up so I'm out in the rain using both hands to open and close doors, connect and disconnect air lines, crank handles, and walk in the rain to shipping offices.ponchos offer less coverage, blow open in the wind, and don't allow me to use my arms without getting rain all down my sleeves. this kept me perfectly dry during the past two days of nonstop rain. high visibility material lets me be seen in dark lots at night, so I feel much safer.this is a good value at this price point.I'm a male that is 5 ft 9 in and 160 lb and I bought an extra large so that I would have a little room to wear layers underneath on cold days.it fits perfectly and meets my expectations of having enough room to wear a fleece underneath if I need to or even a light jacket.very importantly the hood is large enough to extend beyond my face by a couple inches so that I don't have a waterfall running down my face.

Great addition to my duty vehicle kit
I respond to emergency situations such as tropical storms, spring floods and heavy rainfall systems more often than ever before and I needed something lightweight with maximum body coverage, highly visibile (both in day and low light/poor visibility) and stowable in my emergency vehicle. This trenchcoat-length raincoat meets all of my requirements. I was worried about the thinner PVC/polyester material compared to the heavy duty industrial and fishing wetwear, but I don't need to stand in the rain for hours and hours on end. The heavy weight gear may not let water in, but it also doesn't let sweat and condensation out. This is a perfect coat for moderate exposure to heavier rainfall. Love the good quality zipper and snaps as well as the recessed elastic wrist and long cuff which allows for duty gloves to be adequately covered while keeping wetness out of the sleeves.Length wise, the coat bottom edge goes past the knee. The only issue for me is that my rubber boots have a shorter height and the downspout affect of the jacket sometimes dripped into the cuff opening.I ordered a 2XL to fit over my uniform patrol jacket and gear and I am 5'10" / 200lbs / 45" chest.

Protection and comfort worth the price
I have bought several raincoats and this is the most durable one I have ever had the length is perfect to keep you dry in the worse rain. I like my jackets loose fitting and this coat fit my shoulders and chest just right for better movement. The zipper and snap front closure gives you better protection from the elements.
