How to make the chicken soup broth without grits and chunks
Love this chicken soup meal replacement, the first time I made it. I did use boiling hot water, but did find that it was pretty gritty and lots of chunks, and that was kind of an appetizing to chew on chunks of chicken soup. Meal replacement was not the best, but I loved the flavor of the broth was very tasty and appetizing and filling.** IF you want to be able to enjoy the chicken soup try this method , it’s a little bit of a pain in the rear end, but I think it Worked out perfectly , The second time I made it I used extremely hot boiling water, I added just a little of the hot water to the two scoops of meal replacement and made a little paste. I then took the paste and put it in a mini chopper and added just a little bit more hot water and mixed it in the chopper for a couple of seconds . Finally I’m able to enjoy the chicken soup without all the chunks and grit. There was very very little grit left at the bottom of my cup. I think I finally found the solution to being able to enjoy this.. you’ll definitely want to try this if you want to be able to enjoy the chicken soup. ** I also added a half of teaspoon of salt to my big cup of chicken broth just to add a little flavor that’s too you’re liking.

No bad texture on the Cappuccino but the Chicken soup is horrible
UPDATE: The seller reached out and refunded me the cost of the Chicken Soup flavor I purchased, which I thought was great customer service so I'm updating from 3 stars to 5 stars. I bought the Cappuccino flavor and I must say it did not have the gritty, horrible chalky texture that totally turns me off protein shakes. The flavor is not bad either. It does a a good hint of vanilla and cappuccino. I mixed it with 8 oz cold water and 4 ice cubes in the blender. This is going to make my 4 weeks of liquid diet a little less agonizing. However; I just made the Chicken Soup flavor and it is gritty and full of powdery chunks, even blending several times. I'm goin to try mixing the two scoops with a little cold water next time and then adding the hot water. If I can't get these lumps out, I will have to toss it....I just can't deal with it.

What is up with that texture?
So I bought this product after bariatric sleeve surgery. The pic on the container looks like it’s a smooth chicken broth consistency-exactly what I was looking for to add to my puréed mushy peas for a protein boost. The flavor is not bad, but what is this popcorn like consistency that happened? Not appetizing at all.

Very bad flavor
I bought this in the hopes of increasing my protein intake. I’m not doing baristas surgery or anything. I also bought because several other people posted that it tasted really good and it was the best one they had tried. However, I find this completely unpalatable. I followed the instructions, you have to mix it in water below 140 degrees or it clumps. It just has that mucous flavor of protein. Maybe if you try mixing it with other things in an actual soup it would be edible. Unfortunately, I had to throw this away completely due to the taste. Remember, this is not something you can return. For me, that was $50 wasted. Edit: the company reached out to me to refund this product. I increased stars from one to four due to this good customer support.

Use hot tap water only, do not heat water from a kettle/teapot. Good optifast substitute.
I'm a savory person, so the sweet powders just don't do it for me and so I don't use them. There are very limited options with a savory meal replacement. Optifast worked, but gets expensive having to go to a doctor to purchase the powder. This is very close to their chicken flavor meal replacements. Just make sure you use only hot tap water. If you use a kettle to heat the water like I did the first time, it becomes clumpy and gross. I have a strong stomach and adventurous palate, and can down just about any food, but I quit after a few sips and threw it out. It was gross. Using only hot tap water kept it liquid. It tastes like a chicken soup broth, so this will work.

Buy it. don’t hesitate it will be worth it!
I love this protein mix. It mixes well. And it’s not sweet. I have been texting a lot of protein mixes because I’ll be having bariatric surgery in July. This is something my new pouch will be able to tolerate. It’s a win for me!

Does not devolve into water at all!
Doesn’t taste bad, but you can not mix it into the water at all! No Matter how hot the water is. It does not devolve into it, it just floats around on top! You’re chewing powder!!

The taste is good
If the liquid is too hot the powder shrivels like little cheese curds or meconium looking substances, it’s as if you have to drink it lukewarm or use a thermometer to ensure it’s the right temperature. But the tastes is good I just think it’d taste way better hotter
