Along with beautiful color photographs, the book is full of helpful soup-making advice and information about the health rewards of superfood soups, including soup cleanses and rejuvenating broths. Review: This is a great, creative cookbook, full of super food soups that will keep me warm, happy and healthy all winter! - I grew up in the UK and in the winter my mum would make big pots full of soup so we had a warm and delicious meal when we got home. It was something I loved then and still do now, even though I live in a rather warm spot, and cold winter days are few and far between -I still crave a nice bowl of soup when the hint of fall arrives. However, though I am able to replicate some of those soups -lentil and peas examples, the rest were traditional meat based soups like Oxtail and Cawl (a Welsh soup made with brisket) and as a vegetarian I need more ideas which was why I decided to buy this book. This book has 100 recipes which is a good start, and every single one of them, a healthy plant based soup. The book begins with a brief look overall at the topic of soup, some principles of creating a super food soup and basics โ good fats, seasonings, aromatics, beans, soup composition, and some super food essentials . On the latter it is worth knowing that this is a book that will require you pick up some items at a specialist shop -think medicinal mushrooms, super berries, sea vegetables , seeds , grains -I am sure you can substitute (and there is a cheat sheet at the back) but note recipes feature maca, spirulina powder, dulse, wheatgrass powder. This was the one thing I did not love, for though I have many of these, if you do not, you will spend a pretty penny acquiring them and having been there with other books, itโs a pain! Then there are useful tips such as cheat sheets on cooking with super foods, cost breakdown, pantry ideas, health benefits, before delving into soups lead by broths โ including those for energy, detox, beauty and healing which in a concept I love about this book. Then we go to chilled soups, which loving in a hot area I loved, and this goes so much more beyond just a traditional gazpacho - I loved the carrot, ginger and cannot wait to try the coconut turmeric. Then we have creamy soups, such as a corn soup or greens soup and a new take on a potato leek soup. Many of these I should note are accompanied by stunning pictures such as the truffled asparagus soup. This is followed by โbrothy and noodle soupsโ with a take on tortilla soup using chia seeds or a miso noodle soup, there is ramen, Pad Thai and some very creative , way out ideas such as green tea soup! We then go to chowders and porridges,, the kitchari is my absolute favorite as I love this dish and this recipe is simpler than most; then stews and chili, followed by accouterments - garnishes, horseradish cream , pesto or even coconut bacon bits. Followed by a useful guide on sourcing some of these ingredients! This is a great, creative cookbook, full of super food soups that will keep me warm, happy and healthy all winter! Review: Finally, a cookbook I can follow easily and look like a pro! - This cookbook has the most amazing and easy to make recipes. I am not that much of a cook, but I can follow these recipes with no confusion and each one so far has knocked it out of the park! I have already gone through seven recipes in this book, and after having just finished off a bowl of the most delicious coconut curry soup, I knew I had to leave a review of this book. it is true that some of the ingredients don't come cheap, but it has been worth the investment, and I find that the superfoods last a long time, as not much is required in the recipe. My husband and I have commented on how energized and nourished we feel after each soup. I don't know if this is important to know, but what I have found is that each recipe will serve my husband and I, with one more serving each left over, so these are not large amounts (it is our main meal). It works great for our humble needs. When we have people over, we double the recipes.

Finally, a cookbook I can follow easily and look like a pro!

Love this book!!!
My client recommended that I try this book. She had a fresh pot of fennel bisque, one of the many delish recipes in this amazing cookbook, on the stove and ready to eat. One bite and I ordered my own copy there on the spot!!! The flavors were mind-blowing (and, I latwr learned that the fennel bisque is a detox soup). This cookbook is amazing -- Seasonal, hot, cold, hearty, sweet, healing recipes. Something for every occassion and taste. Lots of ingredients I had never heard of and was shockes to read their health benfits during Google searches. I use veggies and herbs from the farmers market as much as possible for even more nutrients. I use Amazon to procure the ingredients that are not on store shelves. My first soup was the beet soup. I honestly felt no pain in my body the next day!!! What I love about this book is that there are two indexes -- one normal and one that lists the soups based on their benefits, such as detox, immunity, heart health and beauty (skin clearing) properties. I love this cookbook so much that have purchased extra copies to give as gifts to other health-minded clients. One more thing, I am very busy so I crockpot the soups. They turn out fabulously, eliminating that "the 2nd day tastes better" rule. Lastly, the soups are enough to freeze for later or share with your friends and loved ones. Bon Appรฉtit!

Definitely the best book in the series
Definitely the best book in the series. I have all of the others and I almost didn't get this one because the other books aren't very practical. This despite the fact that I have about 90% of the ingredients... even some of the more difficult to find ones and I still have a hard time with having everything I need to make something so simple as a smoothie or snack. However, I didn't feel that way with this book. I was able to dive right in and make several of the recipes the same week that I received it. The recipes are very filling and surprisingly tasty. Definitely a must have if you are a vegetarian for sure.

A beautiful book full of superfood recipes
I love Julie Morrisโs books. Going to the store and seeing superfood powders on the shelves can leave you drawing a blank as to what to do with them. The author has carefully thought out delicious recipes for using these superfoods, fresh or dried. I love the photos as you can see what each mysterious recipe looks like. She also gives explanations on the benefits of these superfoods. Her recipes are a great addition to using juicing for bringing your healthy eating up a few notches while being delicious too.

Plant Based Focus on Fresh Ingredients, and Lots of Creativity
I am pleasantly surprised at how clear and easy this book is set up. The recipes look simple yet with ingredients I wouldn't have thought of mixing. Some ingredients I've never tried but I love experimenting with foods and recipes and trying out something new. I typically like stews/casseroles better than soup. This book caught my attention because of the superfoods and I'm looking forward to using this book to widen my palate and give soup a chance again. Some other recipes towards the back are directions to make some of the ingredients for the recipes. I can see using these additional recipes in many other foods I cook. So to me, this is a bonus. Plus a great dog food recipe for her dog Fritz. Thank you Julie Morris for such a beautiful recipe book.

like giving a key in icons on each recipe as ...
This new book by Julie Morris on Superfood Soups is truly another gem in her crown of superfood cookbooks. Julie walks you through a hundred delicious recipes, and adds her own special touches, like giving a key in icons on each recipe as to what superfood properties a recipe has. These helpful icons give indications from bone strength and detox to protein and immunity, as well as heart health, beauty, and even calorie consciousness. Julie provides helpful hints and strategies for replacing harder-to-get items with more common alternatives. She also includes in the back of the book conversion charts for measuring out portions, and an extremely helpful resource guide to make purchasing all her special ingredients easily accessible for the reader. To top it off, there are beautiful photos throughout the book and a detailed write-up to start you off on the benefits of superfood cooking. I am thrilled to add this book to my collection of all the other books in Julie's superfood series. Superfood Soups is another five-star success!

Can't live without these books anymore - addicted
I bought the whole Superfoods Series by Julie Morris and my life has changed for the better. Quality over quantity. As an overeater this is nothing short of an epiphany for me. When you eat like this, you don't ever need to gorge yourself, your hunger satisfied, your taste buds are satisfied, everything just clicked into place for me. My hunger pangs are gone, my body purrs, my mind is clear. The food is delicious, the recipes are simple and the ingredients, for me anyways, are easy to find. I treat the superfoods like a precious collection now. Got some mason jars and every week I buy another superfood and experiment with it. I have a shelf with beautiful labelled jars of premium food and never feel like ordering in anymore. This book series really caused a revolution in my kitchen and in my life and I am so grateful, SO GRATEFUL, that I found it.
