This light set is pretty well done. The entire 3-light set is way more portable than the massive lights that took up my car's entire trunk and rear passenger seats that I used back when I was in school for film and photography... this set can even be squeezed behind my driver's seat! I love the ability to do a regular white light while adjusting the color temperature, as well as being able to do any other color lights and fiddle with saturation and brightness. The preset "scenes" (ie lightning, police car, etc) are fun but limited compared to other brands. I don't really plan on using the scenes. So, the one annoying problem? Well, the connection between the tripod and the light itself is just awful. The tripod has the typical screw threads that you can screw a camera into. However, the base of the lights were clearly designed to attach to some other kind of tripod head. They clearly are not made to connect to each other. Yes, it does hold, but it's not super secure and it jiggles around and leans ever so slightly to one side. It's not a dealbreaker, but this one little detail does sort of make the product feel like a a cheap $99 product rather than a $300 product. Too bad because everything else is more like a $300 product than a cheap $99 product.

Bright, great color range, easy to transport in the supplied case but the tripod for the lights are not level when deployed and have a bit of give. If you use two extended size batteries on the light panel , it’s does make it a bit heavy but work great in photos! When changing modes either remote (only way to get use of all the possible modes) I had to flip quickly to get to the the last few or it would get stuck on a mode while changing. Other than that, good light. Recommend using the diffuser for photography if close to subject for portraits.

The lights aren’t bad, definitely complicated. But the tripod for the light panel and the light, seem like two different companies. They don’t mesh perfectly

This kit was easy to set up and it took around 15 minutes to unbox all three and get them set up for the first time, it came with instructions but I only really needed to refer to them when installing the diffusers. The remote was a great addition, I`m fine with apps but I prefer physical remotes, this remote is pretty easy to follow, a feature I liked was being able to assign each light a channel from the back of the panel and then make adjustments to that one light specifically with your remote by switching your remote to that channel, or you can control all three at once! I was glad to see the type of batteries it took because I have a few of these lying around and I will probably buy a few more, this seller offers them in their store as well, I have some rgb lights and I have some flat panels and I have lights that take batteries making it portable but something I didn't have is a set of lights that was all three and that's what this kit provides me. The lighting effects are always welcome and now I can maybe incorporate them into some videos as well because they are pretty clever and fun. I love seeing products that come with a warranty and this is no different, it includes a 30 days full money back or replacement and a 12 month warranty which is very refreshing and takes some of the stress out of ordering lights that are new to you. The barn doors are awesome and I love lights with these because they cut down on light pollution in the room and help direct the light also, this way just because my subject is glowing the entire room doesnt have to be (unless I want it to) I love these lights and would recommend them to anyone looking to get creative with their photography or video work, I would definitely but it again!

I love these! First off, they are very bright. The all but replace my old soft boxes and reflectors in 1/5 the space. I made a cable adapter to run them off if 4 cell Li-Po RC batteries for hours…. They have inspired new levels creativity and made me feel like maybe I should pursue photography more (see one of my portrait photos for a friend above - he has no business looking so cool!) The remote works great and is super convenient. The diffusers were the one complaint most people had.. they are hard to install and you can’t operate the barn doors thst well… that is, until you realize that the screws on the four corners of the light are also magnets… but a couple rare earth magnets and double-sided tape, cut the extra edges of the diffusers off with scissors, and bam! Quick and easy diffusers AND barn doors. (You’re welcome.)

I bought this LED panel kit to supplement another one I own. The original LED panel kit I have is virtually the same but with 2 panels and no remote. Been using it for a while and I've been happy with it which convinced me to invest in a few more panels. These 3 panels came in the exact same convenient carrying bag with all the same components except this kit has a REMOTE!! I was OK before without the remote but now that I have one, I actually wouldn't really want to work without it. The bonus is that this remote works with the 2 original panels I already own. This is extremely convenient as I can now set many different lights on different channels and control them individually, or in groups. The panels themselves are good. They are quite bright and have good features, though I probably won't use most of them. I thought the police, firetruck, lightning, etc etc simulations were fun when I originally purchased the 2 first panels but in reality, I mostly just use the RGB function and the white balance function. The panels perform beautifully in both applications. The kit also included diffusers which can be critical. The nature of LED panels is that you have hundreds of bright points of light and if you ever have a reflection, that can ruin your shot. This is true with virtually all LED panels used without diffusers. Barn doors work well too. The tripod legs included are adequate enough, but at some point you definitely get what you pay for. They are plenty strong enough to support the panels even with batteries though. One nice touch was that they included a good velcro strap for cable management. That is NOT something I would've expected at this price point, but there it was. It's one of those with a buckle too, not just a velcro strip. Makes for a tidier kit and allows you to strap the power adapter to the tripod leg. Overall, I am very satisfied. Sure you can spend much more and get something more solidly built or brighter or that has more features, and I'm glad those options are out there. But for the price point, this is a good kit!
