My daughter is not at all a fan of tummy time, but knowing how necessary it is for her development, I ordered this water mat to give to her for Christmas. It arrived in a timely manner, packaged simply in a small box. I feel that it is a great size for babies. My daughter found it visually stimulating and loved to pat it and watch the floating animals move around. Having read other reviews about water mats for babies, I knew that mold tends to grow in the water after some time, so I added a few cups of white vinegar to the water. In the time that we had it it did not develop any mold or even any discoloration of the water. I'm giving it four stars only because I wish it were more durable. We also have a four-year-old son, and think that he may have slipped one of his toys underneath the mat, but after a few weeks we noticed that the mat was leaking slowly onto the floor. It might have been possible to repair it, but our son has issues listening consistently and we figured it would probably break again and discarded it. Essentially it's not the manufacturer's fault that ours leaked, but if there was some way to add durability to it we would still have it in use. To anyone who reads this review - if you have pets or other children it's probably a good idea to put the mat away when it's not being used by the infant. We will learn from our own mistake in the future. Overall, though, this was a fun product for a great price.

My son loves this for tummy time, he is three months old and im sure we will get a lot of use out of it. BUT THE SMELL..... I had read reviews that it had a strong odor to it, and i agree completely. It wore off in about 3 days, and he loves to use it now. I would just advise that when it is opened, leave it out for a couple days before letting it the house or babys room, i kept thinking something was wrong in his room bc the smell was so strong, then i figured it out. Great toy overall and large enough to play with as he grows

I have not seen the mold issues as I have heard some disclose on this product. My son is 6 months and just started noticing it more now but not as interested in it yet!! I like the idea for the product and watching himchase the fish! Something different to mix up tummy time when they are little! Easy to fill up and seems to be durable! We have only used it a few times since purchasing!

I bought this for my niece when she was 5 months old. Now she's almost 7 and it's become a big favorite. At five months she laid on it for tummy time and started to sit. Now that she sits on her own she sits right on it. She used to get really made and frustrated at it because she couldn't get the fish out. Ha I resolved it by putting a few of her stacking cups on top so she could grab something. Here's a tip don't blow it up so it's about to burst, and dont fill the water all the way. Leave room for the baby to sit on it and move it around. It won't leak and burst then. I highly recommend this toy!

It's a decent sized water mat. Although it's not my baby's favorite toy, she plays with it on occasion. The only issue I found was that it started to grow mold in the water after about a week. I plan to drain the water, try to clean it as best as I can, refill it and then add a few drops of bleach. Hopefully this will prevent mold from growing again.

I’ve gotten one of these for each of my children. Durability is limited, at some point they always spring a leak. However they’re perfect for early tummy time when babies need something close to their face to distract them. This will definitely pop if stepped on, or walked on by mid-sized dogs, but it serves its purpose well for the short time you need it.

I'm torn - this is very cute and seems to work, but it's way too terrifying to use in the house! No way would I put this thing on the carpet or hardwood floor anywhere in my house with as much water as you have to fill it with - I'm too nervous it's going to leak or break and destroy the floor! I may give it a try outside once it's warm in the summer! I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I think I'd prefer something like this that's already filled with something more gelatinous and totally sealed.

I’m not sure what all the complaints are about but my almost 4 month old LOVES this thing! I had a small whale one when my older daughter was a baby and she tired of it quickly. Wish I would have had this one 3 years ago! No leaks, no mold (I think people that get mold don’t realize even water molds and you still need to change the water! 🙄) and it’s cute as can be! My 3yo pushes the fish around for the baby so it’s great for siblings to interact with the younger ones too.
