I am totally disappointed with this charger. I spent the extra money to get one that would indicate that the batteries were ready to use. However, I have had the batteries charging for 3 days now and the red light has not turned to green. Since I cannot buy this charger in a local hardware or box store, I am stuck with a product that may not give me the quality I expected. I am tempted to return it but cannot be sure that the cheaper model would be any better.

I bought this charger last year when I noticed cracks on the power block for my original VersaPak charger. However, I did not use this until recently, months after I received it. Sad to find out it doesn't work. It is made to charge batteries of a lower voltage. I left the batteries in for a couple of days and they barely got a charge. Not enough to power anything other than the screwdriver. Since I still have the old charger, I used it and found the batteries charged fine. This charger is the problem. It will not charge 3.6V batteries.

I bought both the charger and new chargeable batteries for it and they never charged the new batteries, even though I could get the batteries to charge on my neighbors batteries, so it wasn't the batteries. Basically a big DUD.

It charges but no indication of when the battery is charged

Works as described. Just wish that the light would either change color or turn off to indicate that the battery is charged.

Worked for a while and then the power cord no longer connected to the base. :(
