Little Gents Boys Suits - Boys First Communion Suit, Kids Suit for Weddings

I had high hopes based on the reviews. This product definitely runs small (but unfortunately, only in some places). For example, my son who just turned 5 (44 lbs / 44") and can still wear size 4s, but we couldn't button the top button of the size 5 shirt - so he looked pretty sloppy wearing it. Also the button holes in the sleeves were oriented so far in that they were SUPER tight and we could just barely button them and it involved a few tears (maybe a design flaw and worth some quality checking by the manufacturer). The shirt fabric was rough and my son complained that his nipples hurt wearing the shirt (a complaint he has never made before). I'm sure this could be remedied by an undershirt, but when you're already are wearing a shirt, vest and jacket, another layer isn't desirable. The pants were also quite snug on the waist relative to every other brand on the market. All in all, good concept, poor design.

Great value. Suit came packed in a box the size of the jacket so that everything remained UNwrinkled. Ordered a different size from another vendor and item was in a bag and very wrinkled.Sizing might be a bit off. The waist was way too small but the jacket and shirts fit like a glove. Size 10 husky. Honestly the sheerness of the white pants was a real problem for me. We went with khaki pants for a non-traditional updated look. I’m considering a khaki colored bow tie. No matter. The value was so I credible that worth it even if just for the shirt, vest, and jacket.

Bought the suit in a size 8 for my 6 year old. It was too big, but looked great, so I bought a 2nd suit in size 7 that fit perfectly. The only problem is the black tie with a white zipper. The back part of the tie was too long, and not sure why it's white. Son loves it, and the tie is hidden anyway, so I'll keep it.

I ordered this for my almost 8 year old son to wear to his first Communion. He normally can still wear a size 6 in pants because he is slim. For reference, he wears a size 6 in George brand pants from Wal-Mart and a size 6 in Cherokee brand from Target. I ordered this set while he wasn't around, so I couldn't measure him and didn't think to just measure his actual pants until after I pressed the order button. As soon as I measured his actual pants, I knew that the size 6 set I ordered him would be too short. So that's my fault for not measuring before I bought it. I thought maybe I should go up one size. However, the set came and he tried on the pants and they are probably actually two sizes too small. They were more than 2 inches too short (which is the difference in the size 6 to the next size up) and I couldn't even make them close at the top by a few inches. The pants and shirt are a very thin material, pretty much see-through, but that's what I expected from the price and the other reviews. Even still, the price is so good that I am going to return the set that's too small and order a bigger size for him. You really can't beat the value in this for something that he is only going to wear once.

My little man looked top notch for sister's wedding. Great setup and QUALITY material is expected. I like suits of this nature. Big question of the day, who pays ring bearer tux cost? Parents or groom and bride?If the child is young, or the ceremony is long, the child may take a seat with parents after he/she has given the rings to both the bride and the groom make sure the outfit matches. After the ceremony, the child may be more comfortable if he/she is able to change into other clothing. Children do not stand in a receiving line, is another form of wedding etiquette, I know the suspense, whos going to pay the cost of tux?On the day of the wedding, the ring bearer will walk down the aisle after the bridesmaids and either before the flower girl or with her. He/she will carry a pillow that has either the bride and groom’s rings attached to it, or plastic rings attached.Depending on the clothing the bride chooses for the ring bearer to wear, the ring bearer’s parents may be asked to purchase or rent the clothing. The bride and groom should decide who will pay for the cost of the clothing before the child is asked to participate in the wedding, so there are no misunderstandings. Generally, the parents pay the costs.Overall splendid purchase. Affordable. Fun. Proper.

So I try to write honest product reviews so people know what they are buying. With that said, this suit fit perfectly and is extremely cute. My son loves to wear a suit on special occasions and just because so I bought this suit not really knowing what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. It fit great, looked great and we both love it. I have to admit I did not know what a zippered tie was until today and I am so happy it came with one because it is so convenient. Also this suit shipped really quickly and was folded very nicely with no wrinkles. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because the white dress shirt that comes with this set is cheap, the threads are loose all around the button holes and it is obvious after a few uses I will be replacing the buttons or the shirt all together. However, for the price I paid it was a great value, the suit looks very sharp, perfect for weddings, funerals or special occasions. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and my son looks amazing in it! Definitely recommend this suit!
