I am not one for writing reviews but I never appreciated how good this actually is until it broke! I bought it in 2018 and unfortunately it died last month. I replaced it with a cheaper Meaco one as I was only using it in my box room to dry clothes. The Meaco is really heavy in comparison, and does not have a carry handle so it’s very hard to move. It also doesn’t dry the clothes effectively at all. The Ecoair would dry the clothes in just a few hours but the Meaco can be running all night and the clothes still aren’t fully dry! I find myself wanting to return the Meaco to repurchase this great dehumidifier!

Wow, didn’t realise how bad the humidity was until I bought this. Went from 75% humidity to around 53% humidity. Also warms the place up a bit too which is a bonus. Only had it 2 days so can’t say anything about reliability issues yet but seems to be doing the job just fine.

Great product, would definitely recommend. I'd brought a cheap humidity gauge and it was regularly registering over 80, now with this dehumidifier it's a pleasant 60. My accommodation is a basement room. Great space but it was getting colder even with the heating on in the rest of the house and on in my room. It was the last straw when I moved some furniture and realised that it was damp/wet underneath ( and no I wasn't drying washing in my room). Also I was struggling to get motivated on my non work days to get up, as continual coughs, cold and even an eye infection. I just felt unwell. A friend visited and commented that I wasn't myself and felt that my room was humid and that I needed to consider moving out. But what about trying a dehumidifier first, as they knew I liked my room. We looked online and realised that I needed something quiet and fairly portable. But didn't want to pay the earth for it. Absolutely great product, made a difference the first night I used it. Took a couple of days to get the humidity down in my room, but now only have to put it on for a few hours a couple of times a week or if I've been away. It has completely changed the environment and now I've found it even dries washing our house tumble drier packed in two weeks ago.

Desiccant dehumidifiers are better than compressor types if you want them to run in cold rooms like garages or unheated utility rooms. A couple of disadvantages are than they use slightly more electricity and also they have a distinctive smell when running, especially at first. I like this particular model (I have three of them!) because you can use them with timers, or control them using smart plugs via home automation. I've discovered (to my cost) that the fancier models with more complex controls can't cope with being switched off from the mains, and end up damaged - this model is fine. Having bought three of them you can tell I'm a bit of a fan!

Really was hoping this would be effective in helping to get clothes dry and be quiet - totally impressed with it. I switched it in eco setting g and medium and it drew about 2cm in 3 hours with no damp washing - just from house. It’s on nearly everyday as I have recently moved into property and is really helping with what I didn’t think was a damp concern. And it’s used every time I put clothes to dry indoors. They dry within a few hours. If I had the room I would buy another. Impressed
