L’Oréal Professionnel | Shampoo, For Grey, White or Light Blonde Hair, Serie Expert Silver

This shampoo is one of the best, it lathers, it cleans, and really brightens my blonde. My hair is in excellent condition for bleaching not dry at all so I don’t know how it would fair on dry/damaged hair from bleaching. I wash my hair twice a week. Once with metal detox shampoo (same range) this silver shampoo, conditioner and finish with a bit of the metal detox mask. On my second wash of the week I do the same but without the detox shampoo. I’ve previously bleached my hair and never had it near as good condition as it is now. However I did the bleaching process extremely slowly this time round (over one year) to get my desired coloured. Once dry I finish with L’Oreal miracle hair oil which has a beautiful smell. Overall really please and recommend their range of products it’s enabled me to keep a beautiful blonde in great condition.

I bought the L’Oréal Professionnel Serie Expert Silver shampoo for my grey/light blonde hair and paid about £13. It does a decent job of reducing brassy tones after a few washes, and my hair looks a bit brighter and more “fresh grey” rather than yellowish. It lathers well and doesn’t leave my hair feeling too dry, which is a bonus for a toning shampoo. The shine it gives is noticeable but not over the top. Overall, it’s a solid everyday option if you want to keep grey or blonde tones cooler without too much fuss.

Never used this before but I feel it is helping my hair to keep its colour. I don’t use it every time I wash my hair but maybe every third time.

I like this shampoo for my greying hair though I only use it once a week as I think it might otherwise dry out my hair too much. Leaves my hair soft and slightly lighter. Does need to be rinsed really well as otherwise leaves a purple residue. It is a good quality but quite expensive.

I’ve been using this shampoo since I started bleaching my hair many many moons ago. I stopped using it for a brief period to sample a more expensive branded shampoo that did the same thing, but had a marginally nicer smell (this is not a bad smelling product) so I returned to this one again more recently - it’s undeniably excellent value for a professional grade shampoo and really does the job. I use it once a week and allow it to sit on my hair for a few minutes before rinsing. If I use any more than once a week, the ends of my hair end up going a bit dull. But in moderation it really works for reducing any brassiness and my hair remains a lovely cool blonde between trips to the salon. It also gives my hair a really nice clean feeling. My hair is on the oily side, so I haven’t suffered from dryness as such, but I do imagine it could slightly exacerbate this in dryer hair types, so it’s worth following up with a good moisturising conditioner. I’m also a very big fan of the redesigned bottles - they look really nice in my shower. All in all, I’m glad I returned to this product.

Thought I would try this as my normal purple shampoo was not doing the job to well. I didn’t leave this on ,just shampooed then rinsed. The result was great . My hair looks a beautiful silver and is in really good condition. You only need a small amount. Definitely worth a little more money. Will buy again.

Fantastic shampoo,I've tried many purple shampoos, this is the best ever,it lathers well and I use Fenola restructuring conditioner on my white/grey hair,in between using it,the Fenola restructuring shampoo is very good and neither the shampoo or conditioner are expensive,not promoting Fenola,just passing on tips that work on my fine hair ,will definitely be staying with this loreal product ...

This shampoo is much stronger than I expected in terms of pigmentation. After a while, I found parts of my (grey /silver) hair were looking a little blue. My recommendation: definitely use this shampoo to keep any yellowing at bay but… Use sparingly and perhaps mix with a little of your normal shampoo Don’t use for every hair wash Make sure to apply it evenly to all your hair. I made the mistake of always starting my hair wash in the same place and it’s that area that started to look slightly blue. Probably everyone else knows all this, but I wish I’d known about it sooner!

Ich lasse meine Haare seit einigen Jahren blondieren und mitunter grau färben. Und dank des Shampoos gibts auch keinen Gelbstich mehr. Das leisten tatsächlich nur weinge, die das versprechen. Vor allem, wenn die Naturhaarfarbe rot geprägt ist wie bei mir. Und da ich für meine kurzen Haare nur eine kleine Menge benötige, hält die Flasche auch noch ewig lange.

I love it. First good purple shampoo!

If I use moisturizer after it it doesn’t really dry the hair out.
