Great way to save a bit of money on the official batteries which cost a fair bit more - just make sure your Macbook is the right model for this battery which is easy to do by putting your serial number in on Apple's warranty check page on the website which will show which year and part of the year your release was so you can make sure it's suitable for this. The instructions for replacing it are pretty easy if read through before hand and then followed carefully and it comes with the appropriate screwdrivers needed for both parts so you have everything you need straight from the box (the hardest part is getting the old battery out!) and works perfectly once installed plus comes with a decent 12 month warranty.

My mid 2012 mackbook pro 13" original battery was old and only holding charge for about 45 minutes when unplugged. Thought it's about time I changed it. Those who have one of these old macs know that installation is really quick and easy, but sadly this battery killed my laptop. I installed it and my mac was straight away saying faulty battery and it was followed by it heating up and slight burn scent. Tested with multimeter and the fuses on the motherboard are gone. I was apprehensive that all reviews were 'part of promotion' when I purchased, but thought I'd give it a go. I wish I just kept the old battery with short battery life as I'd still have a working laptop. Turns out I paid money to ruin my laptop. So trusting promotion reviews didn't work out for me. I may, however, have received a faulty item, maybe it worked for someone else.

It installed just like any other replacement battery for this model (I've done about 10 of them). Fired right up - but don't forget to do reset PRAM startup the first time (Hold Command-Option-P-R while starting and until the second "Bong"). Definitely improved the run-time of my laptop.

Great quality item, arrived in solid retail packaging for storage and comes with tall to do the install. It’s a very simple process and instantly makes the life of the laptop great :) it’s a very reasonable price and with being so easy to do, you do not need to spend loads on someone else installing it for you!

The battery never worked and you can’t return batteries as you can’t post them via Royal Mail and no private courier would take them, so that’s a well thought out policy by Amazon to allow products to be sold on the market which you can never return for a refund if you have an issues! So just complete waste of money!
