Well-made... but too long front to back
I love the color and feel the mat is well-made construction-wise. However, I found the front "apron" was too long to comfortably sit at my machine. It was too stiff to push further back and fold the "apron" down to only have the bottom row of pockets accessible. I may try to sew some horizontal lines to encourage it to bend.

Kinda gets in the way
This item is great for quick access to scissors and seam ripper or etc… however it hangs down on your lap which is very annoying.Good points- it cushions the machine to reduce vibration and it’s portable and easy to move. It’s a good alternative to a cup or other holders that would sit on your sewing surface. It’s also great for using at the kitchen table if you don’t have a dedicated sewing table.Otherwise I won’t count on using this frequently at all due to the whole “in your lap” thing.

Perfect
This is a handy keeper for my scissors, sewing manual, and other items I like to have close when I am sewing.

A very smooth look with the envelope style openings; very convenient for my notions as in

pockets too deep
The pockets are so deep that it is really useless for the small needed items.

Very Stiff, but very handy.
I bought two of these (gray felt style), one for a serger and one for a regular sewing machine. They're very handy and they protect the tabletop, but they're super stiff. The part that hangs down kind of buckles up because it hits my thighs/lap. I'm still glad I bought the pads and, so far, that's the only neg.I'd describe the felt as sort of thin carpeting or padding?? It's not thin and bendy/flowy like craft felt. It looks nice, though.Tip: Put a piece of acrylic, like the clear window from some packaging, into a pocket if you want your pointy/sharp tools to slide in easily and not catch on or tear the felt. This was a game-changer for me and I like the pad so much more now.
