I had researched two-man tree stands and decided to take a chance on this one. Guide Gear is a popular brand, and this stand did not disappoint! I laid everything out on the garage floor and followed the manual. All the parts were present, and it went together in an hour. Putting it up is definitely a two-person job just for the weight of the stand but once in place, it was a short job to strap it in. The surprise was the two safety harnesses that come with this kit. They are medium duty fall protection and easy to set up. One thing that I did to improve the comfort of a long sit was to add another layer of foam for the seat. Also, I recommend putting a base under the legs so they don't sink into the soil. I used a couple of 12"x12" pavers and then covered them with dirt and leaves. Overall, this is a well-built, comfortable stand and has many features of stands costing $100-$300 more.

I'll start with, this is not an actual "Double" stand. This is for a small child and adult or one person that wants some room to move around. It is very heavy, but also VERY sturdy once installed on a tree. My issue I had was the absolutely HORRIBLE quality control/craftsmanship on the foot platform specifically. The diamond wire open area was so screwed up, it was like patch work near where the support bolts were required to be. It made getting a wrench or socket very hard and luckily they are nylock nuts, or they may have backed out from not being entirely snug due to the terrible blocking construction. The instructions aren't the greatest and the bolts/nuts are not individually labeled in groups, so you get to hold them up to the "life size" examples printed in the instructions. Overall, this is a SOLID single person or large man stand. I would not buy this as a double stand ever again, it is not wide enough for two adults to sit comfortably nor would they be able to effectively draw a bow next to each other with the limited space.

A lot of reviews said the front rail is way too low to rest your gun or bow. Easy fix was, don't put it on like the picture shows or instructions say, instead just flip it over so the 2 little bars that rest on arms are on the bottom of rail instead of the top. Worked perfectly to gain height. The seat is not as wide as picture looks, two thin people can sit in it, not two big men, it's 36". Otherwise, well built, sturdy, we added a piece of stiff foam wall insulation board under seat cushion just for more comfort.

Excellent tree stand. It's of pretty good quality and I really like it's size and the way the seat folds up and out of the way.

The stand itself is nice and heavy duty. The seat design is awful. I've sat it now like 6 times. The seat is like bars not mesh and the seat pad is awful, you'll be switching seating positions many times to sit on a different bar to help your butt relax. The shooting rail also could be much nicer, it could definitely go out further out from the stand and unless you want it angled down you have to flip it the opposite way of what the directions say. Not sure if who designed this stand ever went and sat in it to hunt for 4 hours..

We got this put together without significant issues. However, the bolts we were supposed to use weren't in the package; other bolts were. The tree stand states it's for two people but it isn't. One person can comfortably sit in it with room to spare. It would be very tight for two men with their gear,

Really sturdy, a little expensive. The seat cushion is bad. Good for two or three hour sits but you’ll probably need an upgrade in that department.

The tree stand is advertised as a two person but it's barely large enough for one of my kids and me and we're not large people. It's too tight to move my crossbow around. The bench is very uncomfortable and the back is too low. The cusion sags exposing the bar that digs into your lower back. The shooting rail is very low. I had to add blocks beneath it so that it comes up to a usable height. The plastic sheet it comes with is so flimsy that the ties always come undone and the zipper never worked. The overall construction is also flimsy. I removed a section of ladder because I worried about safety being up so high in such a cheap stand. Moral of the story, you get what you pay for even though in this case I still feel like was ripped off.
