UK only vinyl pressing! With each successive release, Funkadelic was streamlining it's sound, a process culminating in such early '70s classics as Cosmic Slop. The group's acid rock-heavy early work had metamorphosed into straight-up, party hearty funk, with lyrics that alternate between the serious (the title track) and the humorous 'No Compute'. It may not be as awe-inspiring as their masterpiece, Maggot Brain, but, more than any other Funkadelic album, Cosmic Slop stresses the importance of the almighty groove. The album opens with one of Funkadelic's funkiest tracks ever, the largely instrumental 'Nappy Dugout'. It's clear from the start that Funkadelic, despite a revolving cast of characters, is one of the tightest bands around. Westbound. 2006.

Cosmic slop is worth having for a a good collection title track is one of the best Funkadelic songs ever. My favorite p funk CD for sure.

Early Funkadelic classic!
Before Parliament their was Funkadelic! George Clinton's genius was on full display while at Westbound Records. This is a gem!

Très bon album des Funkadelic! Déjà la pochette attire l'oeil elle est tellement belle est originale je trouve ! ! Qu'on peut déjà qu'être attirer par son contenu pour ma part très bons titres bien funk bien psychedelique déjà d'entrée on entre dans l'univers funk psyche avec ohéeeee nappy nugout! Et ses bruitages comme une tétine de bébé ou un objet pour enfant qui est d'entrée marrant ! Les riffs sont très bons sur march to the witchs castle, Cosmic Slop est également génial je recommande Cosmic Slop!!!Le son est unique sur platineBien sur certains préféreront sûrement maggot brain mais moi je trouve celui là plutôt original et réussi!

Cosmic slop
First funkadelic album with a more commercial tone. And the first completely without eddie hazel on guitar. Still great, not a bad track, and better than anything they did after -74. also check out "us music with funkadelic" (4stars) a short previously unrealesed album from gary shiders band from the same time period with several members and one song appearing on cosmic slop.
