are these galvanized? will they rust?

Staples are coated but not galvanized. Will start corroding in about a year with exterior use.

Are these really chisel points like the photo shows?

No. The 1/4 & 3/8 have the angled ends for better penetration. The 1/2 have the chisel point. FYI, the "chisel point" is what most people call the flat ends, not the pointed ends. This is the name Arrow uses.
