So far, so good. These are the horizontal bulbs, and under the lighted Monster “M” symbol. Dont just the color on the horizontal build; it’s got a green tinted lens over it. They are daylight. These bulbs bypass the ballast.

I used this to upgrade an oven hood lamp from Floursescent to LED. Very easy to install. Nice and bright and quiet. Note that some rewiring is needed since this version doesn't need nor accept ballast or starter. P.S.: I recommend using Wago connectors for the rewiring).

This LED tube is nice and bright. Color temp is bright white, not soft white, but, since it's in a closet, that's nt a problem. It has the same 2 pins on each end as the florescent tube it replaces, so the same fixture (tombstones) can be used, although the fixture needs to be rewired to take out the ballast. It comes with easy to understand instructions as to how to rewire both for transformer and solid-state ballast. I was able to rewire in about 5 minutes without needing any additional wire or wire nuts.

I wanted to use the bulb for an aquarium hood that was about 15 years old. I have very limited electrical skills. After reading Amazon reviews over and over, I did not now if I could do it my self. I opened the the old fluorescent hood to check the wiring followed the black wire and followed the white wire to the off on switch. I cut the wires from the starter and ballast. The only wires that remained was the whit wire to one end of the tube holder and the black wire to the switch. I connected the other wire from the off on switch to the end of the tube holder. I have a two bulb hood so I had to do everything twice. I had two starters , two ballast and two switches. To get power from the white wire to the second bulb holder, I used a wire that I cut from the ballast and pushed it into the end of both holder on the white wire side. I replaced the cover over the wires. Said a PRAYER, plugged the power cord in the electric outlet no sparks and no smoke. Thank You Jesus, let there be light and turned on the switch and said IT IS GOOD. I prepared the light fixture before I ordered the LED bulbs to remove the intimidation of all those wires. I did not remove the ballast just cut the wires because of rusted screw heads.

OMG, super bright, replaced basic lighting. I've had other LED lighting that failed in standard lighting applications, but these work beautifully,.. yes, I had to have both lights in unit ɓefore activated properly, but then it was a new world of light.. I have kept my fluorescent bulbs for emergency, but these bulbs are so much better..

Great bulb so far. I had to rewire my fixture to use it so that was a pain but now no ballast to mess with. Used on a range overhead light so it is on a lot. Time will tell on longevity.

To use LED bulb in my fixture, that your service department assured me could happen, at no time was I informed I would have to rewire said fixture. I know zero about electricity and understand less making me fearful of burning the house down. Thank you for making the return, easy and painless.
