what is the height of the platform?

They are amazing probably 1 1/2 I'm really not positive but not too high

What do people mean with "true shoe size"? Sizes vary among brands. My foot is 9 inches or 23 cm which size should I get?

i really would not venture to answer that question. all I can say is to try the shoe size you normally buy. Good Luck.

If I'm a 7.5 should i size up or down?

I wear 6.5 but 6 fits perfectly for me so I say size down.

Where is crocs made from?

Most Crocs are made from EVA, a synthetic material. Few of them have rubber.
