Great comfortable HRM for the money.
I have had issues with chest heart rate monitors (HRM) for years. For me, they seem to drop out or read inaccurately. This has happened a number of times with chest HRM's over the years and it didn't matter if it was a cheap or expensive HRM. The last HRM I had got so frustrating that I stopped wearing any HRM during workouts because I knew it wouldn't read correctly. After one year without a HRM, I thought of giving a new HRM a try.I bought the LIVLOV V9 HRM because:A. It was inexpensiveB. It was an arm and not a chest HRMC. It could be recharged (no battery to deal with)I've never owned an arm HRM so I wanted to see if it would work. I charged the HRM up using the charging adapter that came with the HRM. After that, I synched the HRM to my Wahoo Elemnt Bolt bicycle computer (simple with no issues). I set the arm band as instructed (secure but not too tight). Once the arm band was set, I removed it without loosening the strap. I went on my first bike ride and got a good sweat going. The wrist band never loosened (I barely noticed it on my arm) and the HRM read accurately with no drop outs.So far, this is an excellent product.

Not perfect, but I'd buy it again ... maybe.
First: customer support. I had an issue with the first unit and left an appropriately negative review. LIVLOV customer support contacted me via email and went to great lengths to resolve any issues. My interaction with LIVLOV customer support rates as one of the top 5 responses I've ever encountered, regardless of the type of product. Certainly 5 stars or more. The first unit would not pair via Bluetooth with any of the three fitness apps I tried on several different phones. It also did not work with any of several ANT+ units. I did work with the PC, but I set the sensor almost on top of the bluetooth adapter so the range was just a couple of inches. I suspect a defective antenna. I returned the unit. Then, the excellent customer support resulted in a second unit. The second unit worked fine via Bluetooth immediately. However, I was unable to get it to pair with any ANT+ device. The main issue was user error inspired by less than clear instructions, but mostly just user error. After following the correct instructions the unit paired with a Garmin Edge 705, Garmin Edge 305, a Garmin Edge 530 , and a Wahoo Elemnt Bolt. I have not been able to get it to pair with an ANT+ compatible LifeFitness stationary bike after multiple attempts. I did have to scan for the device several times with Edge 305 and 705 units, but it did connect successfully.I bought the unit because I lost the Polar OH1 I've been using for a while. The Polar worked fine with all of the units. I have since found the Polar OH1 and had a chance to compare the performance of the LIVLOV V9, Polar OH1, another brand of optical sensor, and a Polar chest strap HRM as the reference. The V9 performs almost identically to the two Polar units (and far better than the other brand) during steady heartrate and during rapid increases for heartrate. However, it does lag behind the two polar monitors as the heartrate falls quickly (e.g. bike up a steep hill and hit a red light), but not by much. I'm perfectly happy with the performance.Back to the customer support issue. I didn't buy another Polar OH1 because I have had to contact Polar customer support for a number of products over 20 years. The support is virtually non-existent. I'd rank Polar's customer support as the 2nd worst I've ever dealt with. Given the choice of a slight lag in falling heart rate and great customer support (LIVLOV) vs. slightly better performance and abysmal customer support (Polar), I'd definitely recommend the LIVLOV V9.12/12/2021 update - things I've discovered after 10 weeks:+ The button location is great. You can turn it on and off reliably through winter riding gear.- About 25% of the time the reading is just wrong. It reads mid 80's BPM when it should be reading mid 140's. Some times turning it off and on fixes the problem. Sometime it requires turning it off, taking off the jacket (brrrrr), taking off the long sleeve shirt (really brrrr), taking it all the way off of my arm, then putting it back on, then getting dressed again. Not much fun when it's really cold in and in a public place. It seems to work when I put it back on in the exact same place (as verified by the pressure marks on the arm from the strap.[3 years of use later] 5 stars. No question. It's been a great unit. It even survived a direct hit during a bike crash and just kept working.

Very Pleased So Far (After 3 Months of Use). A Charging Issue Promptly Resolved by Customer Service.
I have been using LIVLOV V9 pretty much every day for more than 3 months. So far I am very happy with my purchase.I have only used Bluetooth (have not tried Ant+).Bluetooth connection worked immediately and have had no issues at all.Apps used: Both Polar Beat and Wahoo work fine (connect via Bluetooth from within the apps).Accuracy: seems good based on my checking by counting my pulse. No issues with connections and performance.I had a problem with the first device holding a charge: sometimes it did not hold the charge well (I had to charge after a few days instead of a couple of weeks). There was another issue that I did not notice: the pattern and information given by the lights.I contacted customer service, describing the charging issue, and they responded (within a few hours) that there was a chip problem. They sent a replacement which arrived within a few days. The replacement has performed well in every way: now I have all the correct color light signals as well as accurate heart rate and solid Bluetooth performance.

Excellent Heart Monitor
This is an excellent, easy to use heart monitor. Much more convenient than chest straps and much more accurate than watches. Had no issues with bluetooth connectivity at home or at the gym.

Could not get accuracy
I can't give 0 stars. Accuracy is very sporadic. I have tried on the forearm, both arms, and the bicep on both arms. And my wife's as well. I was constantly getting drop off which caused my treadmill to ask if I was still there. And at other times I get runaway heart rate. It would get to 150 and then just continue to climb and I would have to reset it to get it back to the 120bpm my Samsung watch was showing. I can't give any good aspects if it doesn't perform the 1 function it's made for. I wanted to get a sensor without paying thru the nose, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Heart Monitor While Biking
So far it has been working as advertised and it seems pretty accurate. I am currently using it with my Kinetic by Kurt road machine smart bike trainer. I am almost 62 so it is really important that I don't go too high with my BPM. To play it safe I try to keep my BPM a little lower then what my max is. It seems to react pretty quickly, which keeps me in check. It also connects every time to the Kinetic Fit OS app that is on my IPad 7. I actually wear it around my left bicep in the same spot where I place my blood pressure cuff. I get a reading right away.

Good while it lasted
This worked well with my Peloton and the machines at my health club. However, I found the magnetic connection to the charging cable to be flimsy and difficult to maintain unless you arrange it perfectly. Otherwise any tension on the cable will overcome the magnets and pop loose. The entire device worked for a little over a year but now it's dead.

Marca muy bien el monitoreo cardiaco.

Easy to pair and use. Works well with the Concpt2 PM5 monitor.
I bought the V9 to replace my very old Garmin HRM. It pairs easily with the iPhone and, more important for me, with the Concept2 PM5.Good battery life and, yes, you do need to find a stable position for the magnetic charger. Also, for rowing, it feels more comfortable and requires less adjustments than the chest strap. The heart rate seems pretty accurate but I noticed on the workout chart some very brief drops (e.g. 140 to 120bpm) every 2 minutes or so. Overall I am happy with the performance.

Suits our needs and decent (relative) price point
Easy to setup with our exercise bike and synchs with ease. Battery still going on first charge after 2 wks. So no complaints so far.

Better than Peloton brand
Don’t waste your money on Peloton brand HRM. This one does the same thing, better. No lost connection 2 min into your workout. No missed strive points. No uncomfortable chest strap, and much less spendy (than the new arm version) for better accuracy! Super easy to use. That purple light is cool, too!

Works Perfectly
I needed a heart rate monitor that was compatible with my BKOOL bike simulator. This immediately paired with my Windows program as well as an Android APP. The wrist band is more comfortable than the traditional chest sensor and seems to work much better. I like the rechargeable USB feature, so never need to worry about battery life. The LED sensors give the exact connection status and the state of the battery.
