Western Express Natural Straw Cowboy Hat for Men and Women - Cattleman Style with Black Hat Band and Silver Conchos

I have a big head 24.5 inches or size 7 3/4. When ever I need any kind of hat it’s hard to find one that fits. I was nervous about ordering but, I’m glad I did. It fit perfectly. I like a well made hat and this one fits the bill. The material is strong and keeps it shape. If the wind blows, the hat won’t slap your face. It’s very well made and it looks good and keeps it shape. No, it’s not a Stetson. Mine was made in Mexico, but I don’t care, the best boots I ever had were made in Mexico. When it comes to western wear Mexico has been my first choice for cowboy things for most of my life. My point is when I go to church, weddings, funerals, etc I wear my $300 Stetson. But working on my property I wear my $39 cowboy hat from down south. I am very satisfied with this hat and will be ordering another one.

For the money, this is a nice hat. I purchased it for work in the summer (I'm a farmer and spend a lot of time outside). Unfortunately, it was too small; it pressed much too hard against my forehead. My noggin measures 22.5" around, which according to the sizing chart on this listing, the S/M I purchased was supposed to fit. Other than the size being off, the hat itself is nice. I loved the elastic band on the inside; would help form well around the head. It does not appear to be made of straw, or if it is, it's got some sort of plastic on the outside. Would hold up well in rain. Would be easy to clean any mud and dirt off of it. The hat brim has a bit more of a taco shape to it than I what personally like, but overall I'd say it's a good hat.

I got this for my nephew and he loves it. The hat itself is made well and looks great. But, being a stock item, plan on taking it to a western store to have it steamed and the sides rolled and fitted the way you'd like them. I had him measure, and ordered the size he said, and it was too big. Sent it back and ordered a 7 1/4, the same size my brother wears and his fits my nephew perfectly. Again it was too big. But not big enough to have to send it back a second time. They're having it banded on the inside since it's not THAT big on him. So keep in mind that these do run on the larger side. Also these was no "hat box" that it came in. Just a plastic bag thrown in an Amazon box. So it'll need to be shaped after you get it. Otherwise for the money and a kids 1st cowboy hat, it works and he's happy with it.

I had to reorder this item as the first was damaged in transit. It was not packed properly and was no fault of the carrier. I received the replacement in record time and in excellent condition. My husband is very pleased with this hat and the fit is perfect.

Do not buy. Came with a stain on it, cracked brim, and a completely messed up crown. Would not buy from seller again if this is the quality they are willing to ship products.

This is a super stiff hat. To fit it to your head, you only need a boiling pot of water and a heat gun. Then, you'll be able to shape it and mold it to your head for a perfect fit. Take your time; if you start to hear it crack, stop, and apply more steam and heat. With just a little bit of effort, you'll wind up with an awesome hat for an affordable price. Didn't care for the band, so swapped it out for one I already had.

Arrived with no protective packaging in a flimsy box. The top of the hat was crushed. when popped back out, creases were left. The fit on my head was good; but, the brim was too narrow for my head. Possibly better suited for a woman.
