You can spray it not sure how well it will work. I attracted hummingbird with this

This nectar contains the nutrients that butterflies need. You can dissolve the whole package in 6 cups of water to make a large amount of nectar or you can make a small quantity by using 1 tablespoon of nectar to 3 oz. of water. Thank you.
