Kaytee All Natural Timothy Hay Plus Marigolds for Guinea Pigs, Rabbits & Other Small Animals, 24 Ounce

I really love the product, KAYTEE Premium Timothy Hay. It is nice to have a new food, all the way from the Columbian River basin, from an absolutely divine environment! I have not seen a feed such as this at any point in the past to offer to our small pets. Kaytee states that the hay is hand selected, ensuring the proper ratio of length. I believe this is true, because it is all very uniform. Because the hay is protected from the elements, it makes it possible to not get moldy. It is cut a great length to assist in feeding, and since it is pesticide-free, it helps the natural digestive process of the animals who receive it. The marigolds seem to have a good taste to the chinchillas, and they look forward to the new flavor. When animals eat similar things every day, something unique such as this feed is a wonderful gift to them. In addition, at times you find timothy bunching together, which makes it more difficult to utilize for individualized feeding. Because of the way this Timothy is cut, it is much more easily fed to the pets. You have mint included, marigolds, long strand fiber, and crunchy carrots, adding that to the fabulous Premium Western Timothy Hay, which sounds so good that it makes me sure that our two chinchillas, Finney and Dolly will love it!

This is a nice supplemental hay for rabbits! It’s fresh and dry, well washed and free of mold plus it has extra grasses and flowers rabbits really like!

I'm amazed that my rabbit has already gone through one bag in about 6 weeks so I have another order on the way. Rabbits are supposed to eat mostly hay supplemented by greens, small amounts of kibble (I feed her Oxbow Bunny Basics adult -NO alfalfa) and occasional treats. Last visit to the vet they said she was "a wee bit round" and that we needed to cut waaaaay back on the kibble. not a popular change but as a result she eats more hay and it's healthier and cheaper it turns out as the kibble is expensive and now lasts a lot longer. In the past it was hard to find any hay that she would eat at all maybe because of freshness or her taste is changing since she is maturing haha - 3 years old this spring and very healthy!!!! I found a hit with Zupreem which by the way is certified chemical free and seems to always be fresh but it was to expensive with shipping last time around so I decided to try the Kaytee since it's labled chemical free and the marigolds seemed like a nice addition - also a much bigger bag for less $ and free shipping with prime - I was concerned it would stay fresh long enough since I have one Rabbit but to my surprise she went through this bag of hay faster than any of the smaller ones from other brands I've purchased in the past so Kaytee Timothy it is!!!!

I bought this as something a little different for my chinchilla. He wound up loving it! He easily prefers it over the regular Timothy hay and orchard grass I'd been using in his diet. Opening the bag you can immediately smell how fresh it is, and the chilla will take some pieces out of my hand to start nibbling on when I refill his food. With the prior hay/grass he was more take it or leave it, and would sometimes just scatter it about the cage instead of eating it. This stuff is always gone, and is first to be eaten out of his food. When this bag is done I'm going to try some of the other flavors with him too! The price is excellent as well, even if the chilla hadn't liked it any better.

My guinea pigs love this product and it’s cheap. You can’t beat that. It’s true that there is dust inside of the bag but I always put the hay in a container which helps take care of the problem. You can find other premium brands but it’s not worth the price

My bunny loves this hay. It’s consistently on the fresher/greener side which my bun prefers. Its packed tightly in the bag, so it lasts us a long time. We usually buy a new bag every 3-4 months. Sometimes longer. A brand our family trusts for our furbaby. 🐾

I was surprised to find whole marigold heads in this hay- nor just loose petals. Finally, a dried treat that is actually a healthy part of her meal. Our vet has told us that the carb content in carrots, cranberries, mangoes and most other items added to specialty hays can cause serious digestive problems for many rabbits. Flowers are just as tasty , and actually very good for them. My rabbit picks them out first and really enjoys them. Don't let anyone tell you that animals don't have food preferences- my bunny loves this hay! She picks the marigolds out first, and then eats the rest..
