Not a hot heat like was looking for
Not a hot heat like was looking for. Good for putting into a colder room to keep warmer. Lighted dial tells you temperature of the room, not what heater is set for. Takes trial and error to adjust dial to get room to desired temp. Would have been better if could set dial to desired temp.

"that's hot"
I have to say, I had my reservations at first but this is working out. I have an older part of the house that obviously isn't as insulated or insulated at all. But asides from gutting that part, I had to figure out how to deal with this in the meantime. Of course, the thermostat is in the living room on a wall that has draft issues so the upstairs usually differs about 5 to 10 degrees depending on the weather and windiness outside. I used to use a couple ceramic space heaters one by the front door and then in the living room to try to even out the temp downstairs otherwise, the upstairs would be a sauna by bedtime. So I read up on ceramic vs infrared vs oil. For my needs (and considering kids) the infrared was the way to go.Pros:- heated up a drafty 450 sq ft room (where the thermostat is) decently, the surrounding other rooms benefited eventually (total apprx. maybe 1000 sq ft)- separate master on/off toggle switch in back - love this, hate the stupid standby modes that everything has now- straightforward knobs in front for temp and fan speed- can act solely as a fan- decent build quality - metal coated housing (not tinny flimsy) but not iron stove heavy- total of 3 heating rods, but 2 on for low/ 3 for high- not terribly intrusive - compact enoughCons: (some nit picky)- only 2 settings for fan speed, the 3rd is just the fan itself - no heat- fan is louder than expected, not horrible but something to consider for ultra light sleepers- does not radiate like when you walk into the home depot and they have theirs that burns your scalp....this is much more subtle. I almost didn't think it was working until I broke it in and got used to the idea of it being that subtle. not a deal breaker but "weaker" than I expected which maybe a good thing with kids in the house. The reading materials made me think the objects in its path would warm up as well due to the principles of infrared rays....not quite. I say maybe 2 or 3 ft and the sensation isn't so obvious.- the power cord is heavy duty....but that also means stiff as all heck- the plug is a straight plug, not 90 degree angled so consider that if you plan to plug it behind furniture close to the wall. I'd compare the stiffness to a Fios cable.- really wish there was some directional control for the vent. I shift the heater itself left or right to achieve the angle I needOverall, not bad at all. I would have bought this over the honeywell ceramic tower had I known infrared was more suitable for my purposes. I think maybe I wouldn't have been overkilling if I tried the larger one though but this does decent considering. I'm mostly happy with this.

EXCELLENT DEAL!! GREAT PRODUCT!!!
I bought this to replace a heater that stopped working properly. Works really well, andis very compact. I'm using it now and even though it says it is for 400 sq. ft. of space itis keeping my whole 900 sq. ft. house very comfortable at 73 degrees Fahrenheit. In mid October, in New England , and the temp outside right now is in the low 50's.The unit is cycling on and off properly. Since it is a quartz infrared it is only costing about$1.00 a day to operate. I have been using them instead of my oil furnace for three years now.Saving a bundle on heat and loving it!!! I keep my house at 73 degrees all winter for around$200.00 a month running a heater in each room. Which is great, because you can keep somerooms cooler or warmer as you need or desire. LOVE these heaters and I leave a smallercarbon footprint!!!

Lasted 11 months - Nice heater but not long lasting!
This little heater was great to take the chill off our living room. It was a bit noisy, so if talking on the phone or trying to watch TV it was a bit too loud for my personal liking. It lasted almost a year - (of course didn't use during summer months). Started having trouble with it turning on. Would have to try repeatedly. Then once it got running, it would just shut off by itself. Going to do some tinkering around and take this baby apart to see if it's an easy fix. Wish it had lasted longer!

Just Fantastic!
This has been the best space heater that I've ever owned. The thing that I like the best is that I can turn it on the lowest heat setting and it will still turn on and off intermittently. Every single space heater that I've owned just never turns on at the lowest setting and when you find a place on the dial that does go on and off, it either doesn't put out enough heat (i.e. comes on for 10 seconds and turns off for two hours) or it puts out too much and you're baking inside a quarter of an hour.

Not so Hot
I got this in the middle of a NY winter and placed it in my living room, maybe the room is too large for this size heater, but if it's not practically on top of you, you feel nothing and it's loud! Sorry, there are smaller ones that are wayyyy less noisy and does a better job at warming larger spaces.

Worked great to heat up a 10x15' office!
Warmed up a 10x15' space nicely which we use as a home office. It is a little loud and glows quite brightly when it's on, so I'd hesitate recommending this for any room where you expect to sleep.

Worth the money spent
It has kept the garage warm enough that now my husband can actually do his wood working and burning down there. would I purchase it again yes. It shuts down once the temp has been reached.
