Exactly what we were looking for
This is a very sturdy, well built piece of kit. It folds easily and fits in the trunk of our midsize sedan. I can lift it easily enough (I'm a senior in good health) but my wife probably can't. Yes, it's lighter and less bulky than a traditional wheelchair, but I wouldn't use the term "lightweight" to describe it. We were looking for a transport chair that was skinny enough to negotiate hallways and doorways, but sturdier than other chairs with a lesser capacity rating. It arrived almost completely assembled, all we had to do was fit the footrests. The footrests are easily adjusted. I didn't try to use the included stamped steel wrench...I grabbed a half inch socket and ratchet from my toolbox and made the adjustments quickly. The adjustment hardware appears to be substantial, using "nylok" nuts so nothing comes loose later. An improvement that Vive has made that doesn't show in the pictures - heavy nylon straps to keep your feet from slipping off the back of the footrests. The unit rolls and steers easily, and the brakes work well and lock when needed. We're using it outside the home when we need to go to appointments and such, so portability is a big plus. We're generally pleased with the chair and believe it represents good value for money.

The perfect size
This was very easy to put together. It is lightweight so easy to take with us when we leave the house. We do use a ergonomic gel cushion on the seat just to make it more comfortable. My husband is 6’4” tall and weighs about 230lbs. He had brain cancer and some days his mobility and balance requires him to be moved in the chair. We have an older home with narrow doorways that a traditional wheelchair won’t fit through. This fits perfectly. It’s easy to maneuver. It is safe and I love the braking system on the handles that I can easily engage. The chair is very sturdy and I feel confident my husband isn’t going to tip or get hurt when using this. He can even use his legs to move it if I remove the leg holds.

Great Transport Chair
This chair has worked great for me while recovering from multiple ankle fractures. It came preassembled and is very easy to fold/unfold for use. My daughter is not terribly strong but is able to push me and load the chair in/out of trunk without significant difficulty. (I think it weighs about 30 pounds)Also, I am a larger person (about 260 pounds) and the chair is sturdy and no problem using it with a larger person--I would double check, but I think the chair is rated for people up to 300 pounds. This is not a wheelchair that you can use with your hands by pushing on extra large back wheels as it does not have extra large back wheels--but I can move around pretty well in it pushing with my uninjured foot. This would not work well for longer distances or on uneven terrain, but I can creep around in it pretty well at home, and it fits through my doorways well, where a larger chair probably would not.I am extremely happy with this chair as it is exactly what I needed at this time and appears to be great quality product.

Great chair
Purchased to transport my mom. She and I both love it. Smooth, quiet And comfortable ride. I like how easy the footrests go on and off and how fast it is to pack up the chair for loading into vehicle. The parking brake was stiff at first but loosened up in a few days. There are a few issues and improvements that could be made. The thick tread on the wheels makes the brakes really noisy and "bumpy" .. almost to the point of being unusable. Both brakes are like this. Rough braking could be a deal breaker for some, but I rarely need them. Honestly the product should have never made it into manufacturing having such a big issue with a *basic* feature of the chair. Also, sometimes the right handle gets stuck on the brake when trying to unfold the chair.I sometimes wish the footrests didn't stick out quite so far (or were adjustable), as it is sometimes difficult to turn narrow corners.Overall, great chair with some issues. If you don't need to use brakes much (mainly only needed for downhill), it's a good buy.

Easy to store
This wheelchair is very light, I can put it in the trunk of my Fusion. Very study, my husband doesn't feel like he is going to fall. Would recommend it, very easy to put together.

Perfect mobility wheelchair
We decided to buy a wheelchair for my mother - especially for when we travel. This is the perfect wheelchair for travel; it's light weight, folds easily, great maneuverable wheels, hand brakes, foot kick for when going over a thresh hold, high back for comfort and has removable foot rests - great for when she wants to use it as a walker. She does use a seat cushion for added height.Sturdy, dependable and a great value!

Efficient
The chair is small enough to fit through older homes door ways. Sturdy, made well. Easy to put together. Transferring from car is easy, but it does have a little weight. I get alot of comments by nurses that the chair is really good. Smooth ride, no plastic, well made. Worth the $$

Better than a wheel chair.
If you are pushing someone, a transport chair is much easier to use than a wheelchair. It is easier to pick up and put in a trunk because it is lighter and the handles fold down so the chair is more compact than a wheelchair. The only thing I would recommend is purchasing a wheelchair cushion. It raises the person up so they sit higher and more comfortably. The transport chair also acts like a rollator. A person can push it and still have the ability to sit down when they become tired. There are brakes on it like a rollator. Pull up on the handles and it temporarily applies the brakes until the person releases them. Push down and the brakes remain locked permanently locked until they are pulled up. I highly recommend this transport chair. It has made life easier.
