Great product, but for the price I’d expect the layers to peel away easily and not in bits leaving you with an uneven base.

Oh wow, I don't remember when was the last time I purchased a product THIS bad!Purchased out of laziness (so I don't have to cut out kaizen foam)• doesn't sit well in the systainer but "floats" on the "double X" at the bottom.• out of shape to the extent that the lid won't close unless it's pushed down (or trim the foam)•the layers are glued together way too well... 0 change of peeling them off evenly so you're left with an uneven baseThis is advertised (on some platforms) as a better alternative to the plastic inlays that come with the systainer... What a joke!If I didn't fire the foam across the shop in rage I would've went to the trouble of returning this piece of...Anyways, if you have the time and patience to spend trying to get this right and a mediocre finish is acceptable to you, go for it! If not, keep looking for a better alternative. Back to kaizen foam for me.

Foam is great fits systainers perfectly and cuts eazy 👍🏻

Thought this was going to be a quality solution as a Sustainer insert, being especially profiled.However, it didn't fit that well, especially at the sides where it didn't have a cut out to accommodate the Sustainer label holders. The fit was so bad it distorted the Systainer such that the lid wouldn't close easily. That was fairly easy to trim, but...It is impossible to peel apart any of the layers the insert is made from. The only way to make a recess seems to be to cut the whole way through, remove the cutout, reduce the thickness of the cutout and then re-insert.For the money I expected better.

Doesn't fit my Systainer with drawers. Hence: expensive and useless.I bought both the Systainer with drawers and the inserts at the same time as they were both on the "frequently bought together" Amazon recommendation. I tried the foam a Systainer that my track saw comes in - fits there perfectly - but I don't want it in that box - its got my saw in it. I am going to have to cut it to fit into the drawers. Expensive bit of foam rubber.

Wow! I got some of this for one of my Systainers, and was able to cut it to take all of my hand planes. They are now stored very securely, and I couldn’t believe how much I could get in the Systainer once everything was protected by foam, rather than the bulky cardboard boxes the planes came in. One reviewer says that it doesn’t fit the drawers in a Sortainer. That’s true, but it is unfair criticism, because Systainers and Sortainers are completely different and you can buy Shadow Foam for a 3 drawer Sortainer that fits well. The fit in the Systainer is tight, but that’s a good thing, because when you cut some of it away for tools it gets a bit looser. This is an excellent product that is the perfect complement for Systainers/Sortainers. Once you start organising it is very addictive, and I shall be buying some more Shadow Foam.
