Question 1

Has anyone used this successfully on a Windows 8.1 machine?

Accepted Answer

Yes. My win8.1 laptop works fine (digital only...no analog cable). Download the drivers from the KWorld website ( http://global.kworld-global.com/main/prod_in.aspx?mnuid=1248&modid=6&prodid=1825&flag=1 ). Works fine with Windows Media Center!

Question 2

I'm finding that the usb atsc stick does not load the drivers to a windows 10 op sys. anyone else having this problem. is there a fix?.

Accepted Answer

I successfully installed on Windows 10 on my Dell Inspiron laptop included moving it to the usb extension dock (which also has HDMI output) and it works as expected. That being said, it's a hack to use it in Windows 10 because Windows 10 did not include it. If you are competently handy at following instructions and you don't mind experimenting, go to The Green Button dot com for instructions and even an installation set of files. It took a few tries for me to get the right configuration and I had to use some of the "workarounds" in the instructions. I'm going to add a second one and move it back to my Windows 7 machine, but I know it works, schedules, and records TV broadcasts.http://www.thegreenbutton.tv/forums/viewforum.php?f=97&sid=c5fc09a642228343b725483d9fca0758

Question 3

Can you program this tuner to record shows while you're gone?

Accepted Answer

I am using the tuner in conjunction with Windows Media Center with Windows 7. Windows Media Center does allow you to schedule recordings for a future time as long as your TV and computer are on.

Question 4

Would this work with the xbox one?

Accepted Answer

I would say prob not due to the fact that you need to install all the drivers and software
