RDINSCOS Wood Moisture Meter, this meter works really well. It is very versatile, it is easy to read in the daytime as well as in the night. There is a light that lights up the screen when needed. The readings you get are accurate, I used another meter to verify the readings. It comes with a little pouch to put it in after you use it. It comes with instructions which make operating this meter a breeze. This meter is very fast, as soon as a probe touches the wood, you can see the numbers. It has a nice appearance, it does not look like a cheap no name brand meter. A must have if you smoke bbq like I do. I will recommend this product to anyone who needs a moisture meter.

I got this meter because we got a leak close to an outside wall. This was very easy to use once I read the instructions two times the response once you put it up to the wall is very fast so it is very speedy giving you a response very easy to read the results and for someone who does not do construction. I was able to understand it and work the product. I’m glad I got it. I found the leak and I think it’s a good value.

I was actually surprised with the quality of this moisture meter. It feels solid and well made in your hand, - not flimsy. It's easy to use. Just turn it on and press both pins in the end of the device into the wood at least 5cm from the edge to get an accurate reading. The display is large, back lit and easy to read. It comes in a storage box wrapped in a cloth pouch, two additional pins, and a small tool to change them out should this become necessary. There is also an instruction pamphlet, but honestly the use of the thing is pretty self explanatory. This thing takes a reliable reading and that's all it needs to do. It's inexpensive, and with Prime, you can have it in a hurry. Definitely worth it.

The meter seems to do what it's supposed to do and the reviews bear that out. It appears to be fairly accurate, it's easy to use. It's not going to provide the same results as a $600 meter but I don't need that; I only need to know whether and how fast my wood is drying and the dryness compared to other wood in my shop that I know is stable and dry. My deduction of a star is based on the fact that the meter is difficult to read in bright sunlight where some of my wood is stored. The box suggests that the screen can be lit but am unable to find a switch do so. A lit screen would be preferable to the flashlight of which I have no use. My other criticism is the instructions are in gray 2 point type and the buttons printed on the page are blackened out an impossible to read. It wouldn't cost much in paper or ink to make instructions legible. When buying this meter, a magnifying glass would be another good purchase if you don't have one. In short, it works, it's basic, but under some circumstances both the screen and instructions are hard to read.

Great little device for checking wood for moisture. Used it on our deck and was super simple to use unlike another one we ordered where it had too many features and you needed a college degree to figure it out.
