Are the containers and lids both pp5 plastic?

Only the containers are pp5 plastic.The lids are not,so the lids can not be microwaved.

Is the inside of the container flat or do they have a convex bottom ?

It is not flat. You can pour 1/4 cup water into container and it will pool into a circle with raised 1/4 inch center still dry. Hope that helps

Can hot grease be poured into them without melting them?

I would not recommend doing it. They are microwave safe but I think the container would melt.

Are these good for slime?

Yes,they are perfect for slime.
