Works ok as a lubricant but that is not really what this is for. Use it on your carbon steel knives and guns and it will protect them nicely. A great product. Use the same cloth over and over to wipe the product into the surface and keep the cloth in a plastic bag. The cloth will eventually become saturated and makes for easy applications. Update 9/19 After several months I find this product indispensable for my firearms and knives. A great dry film that does its job well protecting my prized possessions! Still have over half the bottle left. I can use this freely and it is not running out. When it does I will be back for another bottle!

This cleaner is amazing. I've bought many bottles of this stuff over the years. I don't use it for its lubrication, rather I use it strictly for cleaning off gunpowder residue off weapons. It's safe on virtually any material on the weapon, and it takes the least amount of patches to clean. I've noticed if I take a decent range session firing around 200 rounds out of my Glock 9mm, it takes about two patches to clean the barrel. I also use it on antiques - it doesn't affect steel or wool at all. It also doesn't smell harsh like other cleaners - so no one else in the room is complaining about the odor. But, I do notice that it will ruin latex by hardening it and causing it to no longer stretch.. So change gloves often. It also washes off easily from my hands if I manage to cut my gloves, but considering how it ruins latex I don't really want it on my skin.

This pump spray bottle is a necessity in my work environment where my knife blades encounter daily doses of salt water spray and exposure. I use this solution as part of both my cleaning and sharpening process. Approximately 2 treatments a week keeps my knives 100% rust-free and lubricated properly. Over 6 months out to sea, zero rust on my gear.

This product appears to work pretty well as far as protecting the knives I have from corrosion. I was worried about it eroding the paint and finish on my knife because it smells like paint thinner, but that hasn't happened. I just moistened a cloth, rubbed the solution on the knife, let it sit for a few minutes and then wiped the excess off with a clean, dry cloth. The product itself I would lean towards giving 5 stars but my bottle came dented and the sprayer didn't work so quite a bit of the solution leaked all over the place until I realized I could actually take the sprayer out and just dump it on a cloth. I'm also guessing the bottle I got was returned by a previous customer because the seal In the top was broken already, plus it had the huge dent in the bottle. I would still recommend the product as the issues I had were cosmetic with the bottle. I would buy again but would return it next time instead of just keeping it if I wound up with another dented, pre-used bottle

This is the best blade protector I have used so far. I am a collector and have many types of Carbon and Stainless steel. It works great on all of them. I even use on 2 Katanas and the dry look is much nicer than the greasy blade oil. This stuff does seem a little toxic so don't breath it or get on your hands.

This is absolutely superb lubricant. As you can see in the video, when you push the pump sprayer, only drops come out, and then it leaks down the side of the bottle and will puddle underneath. So, if you get this lubricant, make sure you use it over newspaper or something, and do not expect it to actually spray. Other than the spraying issue, I would give it 5 stars as a lubricant.
