Timeless protection as valid today as it was 40 years ago.
I have been using Liquid Glass car polish since the late 1980’s/early 1990’s. I had a Mach1 Mustang and did the car show circuits back then. The level of shine and protection I got on my show car led me to use this product on my regular drivers. Through the years people have always commented on how clean my cars look. Liquid Glass bonds with your paint and forms a hard surface that helps to reduce rock chips and lets bugs and tar glide right off with ease. If you take your time and lay down multiple coats on the first application, the finish will last a long time. Personally, I put down 7 coats. When I do, sometimes I’ll go 6 months to a year with just washing or hitting it with a detail spray and at a year, water is still beading on my paint. This is an incredible product. I see some people saying it’s hard to remove. It actually isn’t. The first coat you apply will actually help to remove some dirt and impurities as well and it will be slightly tacky when you go to wipe it off. The second coat will go on more smooth and come off more smooth. The third coat even more so…. And so on as you increase in coats of coverage. Increasing in coats also lets you go thinner and thinner with the product as you need less the more you go. The product does need to sit a few hours between coats. You should be doing at least 2 coats to get started, 3 if you have time. If you’re really particular like me, again, I do 7. The more coats, the deeper and richer the shine. I just picked up a GMC Yukon Denali. I have 7 coats of Liquid Glass on this vehicle. I started with a full bottle and I probably have just under a quarter bottle left. I could easily get another 3-4 coats on the entire vehicle with what’s left in the bottle. That should give you an idea about how much coverage you can get from one bottle. The Yukon is WAY larger than a normal sized vehicle. I will post some pictures of the Yukon here. The interesting thing is that this vehicle is white. Due to the nature of white paint reflecting all light, it is typically hard to get a decent shine from a white vehicle. By the way.. this is a 2021 Denali. This is 2025. It’s 4 years old. Keep that in ind as well while you view the photos. As a side note, I also use Liquid Glass on the exhaust tips, chrome and plastic trim, headlights, tail lights, marker lights…. It keeps all those pieces looking factory new, even years later. I even use it on the glass. It beads water and sheds it from the glass keeping the side windows clear and assisting the wipers in clearing the windshield.

This wax is still a great product that performs well.
We have been using LG for maybe 45 years. I still think it is an excellent product for some applications. This container was purchased specifically to wax a large fiberglass shower unit. DO NOT use it on the floor-base, but it sure makes it easier to clean up the shower.

Not as good as the older(original) formula.
I have used Liquid Glass for over 30yrs. I believe there was a falling out of the partners and the original formula had to be tweaked for the parties to continue separately. I also spoke with the company after having some issues with the "new" stuff. They said some buyers did not like the powder residue that was left when it was buffed out. Having used both, they are equal when applying but the older stuff formed more of a haze and when buffed, it came off evenly with very little effort. When buffing off the new stuff, it comes off for the most part, but you still see where more buffing has to be done, almost like it is a little greasy, not dry like the old stuff. Sometimes it seems to take forever trying to buff it out where the shine looks even. This is especially aggravating with darker colors. I sometimes have to go over it again 2-3 times. The company said to try applying thinner coats...... I did, same result. I still like it because it does last a long time between waxes, but I liked the older version WAY better.

This is NOT your father’s Liquid Glass. And you’ll wish it was.
What happened to this product? I used Liquid Glass 30 years ago on multiple award winning show cars. It was never the absolute best polish but it was extremely good, offered great protection, and was a joy to use. It applied so easily and came off just as easy with little work. This allowed you to put so many more coats and that made it my go to product. The new formula is miserable. It doesn’t come off like the old stuff. It leaves this greasy residue, creates streaky color banding on darker colors, and it’s extremely difficult to remove and correct these issues. After an entire day stepping down to mirror cut compound on a new car that needed scratches removed, I applied this stuff thinking it would be “like the old days.” Boy was I wrong. After fighting with removing it from the hood for an hour I gave up for the night and worked on the rest of the car in the morning. It took hours to make the car presentable and I ended up buffing it completely off. What a nightmare. I was absolutely furious to end the day with that mess. The original Liquid Glass founder went to prison. No joke. I was happy to see the product back but now after using using the “new improved formula”, I wish it had just died and never returned.Speaking of returned, that’s exactly what happened to this bottle. I feel I’m owed far more than the $35 back. Let’s face it, if you’re looking at this stuff you probably remember the old product or it was recommended by someone who does. Don’t be fooled. This is absolute garbage, it’s not the same stuff. Leave it in the past and buy something that won’t ruin your day and sap your life force.

GREAT Product if you follow the instructions & don't have unrealistic expectations!
I'm not certain about the less than 5 star reviews, unless you have unrealistic expectations. Because of the lower star reviews, I waffled around about the "new" formula after having the "original" can for 10yrs & the can was almost empty. Broke my heart to dispose it.I read the identical instructions on both containers & followed them to the letter. After extensively shaking the "new formula" & opening the sealed lid, the color, smell, & texture felt identical! So, I applied both next to each other & let them both dry to a haze. I then called upon 2 separate inspectors to see if they could feel any difference (I couldn't). After both separately inspected they agreed that there was no difference in the feel, shine, nor did they see any streaks! Neither still don't know which was the "old" or "new" formula!Full disclosure: I have a pampered 11 yr old black Indian Motorcycle that is garaged, covered, & is never in the elements. Your cars life & it's paint age & quality may be different.I recommend it, but shake the container well & follow the instructions!

The Legend - Well worth it.
I discovered Liquid Glass back in the mid 1980s at a local car show. It brought out the brilliance of the Candy Apple Red like nothing else. Been using it on every car since. Apply it by hand in the shade on a cool finish, buff it and let it sit in the sun to cure. Keep in mind, this is a polish, not a wax. I swear by this stuff.

Still the best polish I have used!
This is not like the liquid glass from years ago, but still amazing! Shines beautifully on my silver vehicle! Would definitely recommend!

Best paint protectant you will ever buy
I've been using Liquid glass for about 40 years. It is the only produce I will use. Remember follow the instructions . Be prepard that the first wash you will find spot you'll have to hand buff again

This is simply a high priced liquid grey wax that needs to be polished
This is close to false advertising, you see it being applied as a clear liquid giving you the impression it’s like applying a clear varnish that simply glides over the paint but it isn’t, it’s a wax, comes out of the bottle a thick greyish color and does not look at all as the advertised that just goes over scratches. This is simply a very high priced wax that has to be polished once partially cured. The name is misleading, it should be called what it is Liquid car polish wax.
