Utter rubbish

Bought one in May and one just now. The first one in May was good, but too tight. The new one is perfect and stretches to fit all head sizes! Even the protective padding feels better! This is the head band to get if you play soccer or need some protection while doing other activities.

It's stretchy so very comfortable and feels firm and protective for someone like me who is always banging their head on truck wing mirrors in the street. Looks well and draws no comment when I'm out and about as if people find it quite naturea that I should be wearing a head band all the time. Fits quite well under a slightly over-sized hat.

Think might get second one for child that is playing basketball

I wish I had believed the many reviewers who said this is a good headband, but much too small for an adult. It probably fits kids and people with small skulls, but for a normal sized person it is painfully tight. Maybe if I stretch it out over a bowl or something, as one reviewer mentioned, it might be wearable after a while. As it is it is not really usable for me. As for being shock absorbing, I don't know how much protection it could provide with head injuries. Its benefit is probably overstated. It does seem to be a perfectly good sweatband - for a child. I wish they made one for adults.
