Great in coffee
Tasting the butter by itself biscoff tastes better, more sweet. But in coffee this tastes way better than biscoff. Biscoff in coffee is more sweet where as this one gives that perfect nutty, more mild sweet flavor. Makes the coffee more bold.

Delicious, smooth but pleasantly gritty
Since I'd never heard of cookie butter before, I decided to give it a try. It's been compared to peanut butter, and I like a peanut butter sandwich with a glass of milk as a late night snack, so the cookie butter would be an alternative. I ordered the Roland brand because the price was nearly half that of the Trader Joe's version online price and since some reviewers liked it better. When it arrived I immediately opened the jar and slowly savored my first bite. It was smooth, delicious and tasted like cinnamon and spice cookie dough. It was, however, slightly gritty on my teeth as it melted in my mouth. NOT A NEGATIVE! The very slight grit gave it more texture -- another pleasant dimension, if you will -- to its mouth-feel. I think that it's a very versatile food product, like peanut butter, so it should have many other uses besides a quick sandwich or spread on toasted muffins. A wide variety of recipes from smoothies to frostings might benefit as well. While I awaited the 2 days for my Amazon cookie butter order to arrive, I visited my local Walmart and found another brand in the peanut butter section. Lotus Biscoff cookie butter was only $3.29 so I bought it. When I got home I tasted it and ate several spoons full of the creamy goodness. It was my first experience with cookie butter and it was quite pleasant. Spooning it straight from the jar looked like peanut butter. It had the same nutty color, the same smooth consistency and mouth-feel as peanut butter (absolutely no grit) but slightly less dense. The big difference is that peanut butter coats the mouth and takes slightly more time to melt and its nutty flavor lingers longer too. It was lunch time, so I made a peanut butter and cookie butter sandwich which I devoured in seconds and washed it down with a glass of water. I approved! Then I made another sandwich but this time I spread on a layer of strawberry preserves. That, dear reader, was culinary snack heaven! I devoured 1/3 jar of the Lotus cookie butter before the Amazon order arrived! In the meantime, I tried it with honey (!!!), peach preserves (!!!!), and just a cookie butter sandwich with a glass of cold beer (!!!!!!!!). In my 70 years on this earth I've eaten a lot of snacks with beer but cookie butter is right up at the top of the list with nuts, popcorn and pizza! Finally, Lotus is darker, smoother, creamier, more spreadable, and more shiny than the more dense consistency of Roland. Their flavor, however, are practically identical IMHO. I'd buy whichever was available or the least expensive. For that matter, if you can find a store brand that costs less, by all means give it a try. Especially, if you have a ravenous household whom can't get enough of the stuff or uses it in lots of recipes. Walmart's Great Value Creamy Speculoos Cookie Butter, 14.1 oz. is just $2.88. So, whichever brand of cookie butter you choose to buy, experiment with it. You'll be glad you did!

Better than biscoff!
Excellent quality, smooth thick consistency, nice flavor. A little salty but not bad. I make cookie butter lattes and this one requires a smaller amount and still makes a better flavored and sweeter latte than biscoff, and it seems cheaper too. my husband agrees. I plan to rebuy this!

Very very good
It is very delectable, rich and perfectly balanced in my opinion, not overly sweet which is good, the only thing that holds it back is that it is a bit pricey but I think overall it is worth it, I personally prefer this to biscoff cookie butter

Sooooooo good! Do it!
This Speculoos Cookie Butter is DELICIOUS! It's just as good as the Dutch-inspired original! This stuff should be the next big Euro-craze in America following Nutella - the taste is completely original and so delicious; it's like a thick ice cream almost. Highly recommended! I can't stop eating it.

Good, but Walmart Brand is cheaper
I like this, sure! But I also have discovered the Great Value brand that tastes so much better to me, and at half the price!
